The record

Purpose: SoftLoaf Negative is a film negative conversion workflow built for film digitization with camera capture and scanner input.
Conversion methods: It offers curve alignment, dual-anchor alignment, chart-reference alignment, and frame-by-frame alignment.
Calibration: It uses measurements from a standard 24-patch target to build a color correction matrix for the camera, lens, and light digitization setup.
HDR: It supports HDR preview and lists UltraHDR JPEG, AVIF HDR, and HEIC gain-map delivery.
Trichrome: Its Trichrome workflow aligns, converts, and combines separate red, green, and blue monochrome captures into one color image.
Hot Folder: A watched folder can automatically send each new file into the current roll.
Black and white: Black-and-white negatives have an independent density conversion workflow and focused controls.
File formats: Listed delivery formats are JPEG, PNG, TIFF, UltraHDR, HEIC gain map, AVIF HDR, ACES EXR, and ADX DPX.
Trial limit: The three-day trial permits project opening, creation, adjustment, and preview, but prohibits every file-output path, including batch and CLI/headless export.
Image privacy: Photographs and project files are processed locally and are not uploaded as account or licensing data.
Account security: The privacy notice says passwords are sent over an encrypted connection and only an Argon2id password digest is stored.
Support: The support page asks users to report the version, operating system, input format, and exact reproduction steps; product feedback goes to [email protected].
Availability: The pricing page says annual plans are not open yet, and the terms state that purchases are not yet available.
Price from: $2.49/mo
