What Siyavula is

Siyavula provides online Mathematics and Physical Sciences practice for learners, tools for educators, and free curriculum-aligned textbooks. Practice covers Mathematics in Grades 8–12 and Physical Sciences in Grades 10–12, aligned with South Africa’s CAPS curriculum. Learners get unlimited question versions, instant marking, full solutions, and a personal progress dashboard; questions become harder as they master easier concepts. The practice works on any internet-enabled device, and Siyavula says its site is zero-rated on MTN and Cell C networks in South Africa.

Educators can search questions by subject, grade, topic, and difficulty, then assign automatically marked homework and assessments. Reports support progress and activity review at learner, class, and school levels. Textbooks for several subjects across Grades 4–12 are free to read and download, and users may copy, share, or modify them. Learner access and access for verified teachers are free. Siyavula was founded in 2012; its company history says Siyavula Education closed in 2023 and Siyavula EdTech Enterprises spun out from the Siyavula Foundation in 2024.
