Shai is a web-based pre-production tool for film and advertising creatives, supporting work from script breakdown to storyboard and AI video. Users can upload a script or creative document and generate storyboard scenes with AI-created images and production details. It can also turn script information into a shot table covering timing, cast, locations, and other details. Users can upload their own images, edit generated images, and adjust breakdowns and planning. A storyboard can be used to create a video animatic, where users can experiment with actions and camera movements; AI video is limited to premium users. Shai says it connects with different video generation models. Free access includes the first nine storyboard scenes and 200 Shai credits for creating and editing images, with no credit card required. Shot lists can be downloaded as PDF or Excel files. Shai says uploaded document content, including storylines, characters, and dialogue, is not used to train its AI models or generate similar narrative content. Its terms say users own content they create, but do not guarantee uninterrupted access and allow features to change or be discontinued.
