My Storybook is a web tool for creating storybooks with text, illustrations, and characters. Writers can begin from scratch or choose a template. Teachers can select or create templates, share them through Google Classroom as assignments, and collect students’ stories. The site describes student practice in narrative structure, character development, social and emotional learning, and creative writing. It also offers clip art and tools for creating and customizing characters.

The Free version costs nothing and supports text, items, basic characters, and sharing by link or Google Classroom, with limited image uploads. Authors costs $10 a month and includes unlimited creation, customization, and printing of stories, plus unlimited high-quality printed copies. Educators costs $28 a month and adds Google Classroom class imports, unlimited student booklets and image uploads, custom story instructions, and export to Google Photos; the photobook price is not included. Administrators costs $250 a month and includes unlimited classrooms, school onboarding and training, and a customer support agreement. A 7-day trial is available.

Upgraded members can download a PDF to print a booklet at home or export a story to Google Photos for a photobook. Users can sign in with Google or email. The privacy policy says the service can access personal information included in stories, public stories are visible to anyone, and personal information is not sold or rented to third parties without explicit consent.

Who it suits

My Storybook suits writers who want to build illustrated stories from a blank project or template, and teachers who want to assign story creation through Google Classroom. The Educators and Administrators plans are aimed at classroom and school use, with class imports, student booklets, or multiple classrooms.

Limits
