Kendis

What Kendis is

Kendis is a planning and management platform for organizations coordinating scaled Agile delivery. It supports PI planning, OKRs, project and product management, and roadmaps, with Scrum and Kanban support, backlog management, sprint planning, story points, and Agile reporting. Its program board helps distributed teams organize PI planning around objectives, risks, milestones, and dependencies. Teams can assign owners to dependencies and track them across teams and programs.

Kendis connects with Jira Cloud, Jira Server, Jira Data Center, Azure DevOps, and Microsoft TFS 2018 and above through two-way integrations. It is available as Kendis Cloud, hosted on AWS with a US or EU hosting choice, or as self-hosted software on an organization’s own hardware or cloud infrastructure. With self-hosting, the organization handles security and updates. ORG Views adds AI insights and objective creation through token-based AI usage, along with strategic themes, global OKRs, roadmaps, timelines, Kanban boards, multi-level backlogs, tasks, and lists. The six-month trial provides Premium Cloud features for two PI cycles, without user caps or setup costs.

Who it suits

Kendis suits organizations coordinating multiple teams, programs, or PI cycles through scaled Agile methods, including SAFe, Spotify’s Tribe Model, and Scrum@Scale. It also fits organizations that need roadmap and OKR planning alongside dependencies, with cloud and self-hosted options.

Limits

The six-month trial covers Premium Cloud features for two PI cycles. ORG Views features—including AI, strategic themes, roadmaps, Kanban boards, and multi-level backlogs—are limited to that plan rather than the other listed plans.

2. Choose the six-month trial or a paid plan.
3. Select cloud hosting in the US or EU, or choose self-hosting where offered.
4. For self-hosting, use your organization's hardware or cloud infrastructure and manage security and updates.
5. Connect Jira, Azure DevOps, or Microsoft TFS through the listed integrations.

Verdict

Choose Kendis if your organization needs PI planning and dependency coordination across teams, with cloud or self-hosted deployment. Look elsewhere if you need a free plan or want self-hosted security and updates handled by the provider.
