The record

What it does: Jujutsu is a version control system for software projects, designed for individual developers and large teams.
Git compatibility: Its production-ready Git backend works with any Git remote, and users can switch back to Git.
Automatic snapshots: Jujutsu automatically records working-copy changes as commits, so it has no explicit index or staging area.
Operation log: The operation log records repository operations and supports undoing or restoring earlier repository states.
Conflict handling: Conflicts are recorded in commits, allowing an operation to succeed and conflicts to be resolved later.
History rewriting: Jujutsu automatically rebases descendants when a commit changes and offers tools to edit or split commits.
Integrations: The documentation provides workflows for GitHub, GitLab projects, and Gerrit code review.
Platforms: Prebuilt release binaries are available for Windows, Mac, and Linux.
Runtime requirement: The installation guide requires Git 2.41.0 or newer at runtime.
Experimental status: Jujutsu describes itself as experimental and notes that features, user experience, or workflow gaps may make it unsuitable for some use cases.
Notable limits: The README says Git submodule support is incomplete and email-based workflows do not have native support.
Security reporting: The security policy directs vulnerability reports through GitHub Advisories, says the team will respond within three working days, and follows a 90-day disclosure timeline.
Support: The project says it is not a supported Google product and that support is provided by the community through Discord, GitHub Discussions, and IRC.
License: Jujutsu is open-source software under the Apache 2.0 license.
