Diodon

What Diodon is
Diodon is a free, open-source clipboard manager for Linux that aims to integrate with the Unity desktop. It records clipboard history through Zeitgeist, which normally stores events in an on-disk database that remains after reboot. Setting `ZEITGEIST_DATABASE_PATH` to `:memory:` switches storage to memory. Available plugins add menu features for counting clipboard entries, pasting and removing an item, pasting recent items together, and editing the active item. Ubuntu-based distributions can use the project’s stable PPA, while other systems can obtain release tarballs through Launchpad. The documented build process uses Meson and Ninja. The maintainer describes Diodon as low maintenance, with packaging, translation updates, and security issues still addressed. Wayland support is partial. The project uses GTK3 and Zeitgeist, which the maintainer says is no longer really developed. Version 1.14.0 included translation updates, cross-building, improved Meson compatibility, and better performance with large clipboard items. It is intended to remain in Debian and Ubuntu repositories.
