What DeNet Storage is

DeNet Storage is decentralized cloud storage for photos, videos, documents, backups, and other files. It is available on Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, and Windows. The mobile app can automatically back up photos and videos, while the desktop app can back up selected folders. Signing in to the same account on supported devices keeps files synchronized. Before upload, files are encrypted on the user’s device and divided into fragments distributed across independent storage nodes called Datakeepers. DeNet says neither it nor the node operators can access unencrypted files or decrypt stored content. If a node goes offline, the protocol detects this and creates replacement copies of affected fragments on other nodes. Storage is prepaid through a one-time payment that adds balance, rather than a recurring monthly or yearly subscription. GAS use depends on the amount of stored data and its duration; the storage period begins with the first upload. DeNet does not keep or recover encryption keys, so losing a key permanently blocks access to files and does not qualify for a refund. Payments can be made by bank card or cryptocurrency, with bank transfers available to companies under contract and invoice. The protocol launched in 2017, and version 4 has been live on the PEAQ mainnet since July 30, 2026.
