What CutTap is

CutTap is a free browser-based video editor built around a multitrack timeline. It combines imported video, audio, and images, then adds text tools, animations, cinematic filters, transitions, GPU overlays, and color grading with LUT presets. Automatic subtitles use Whisper to create editable text clips, with transcription running locally without uploading audio. Pixabay supplies stock image and video searches, while GIPHY powers animated sticker search. CC0 sound-effect searches are available through Openverse and Wikimedia. Downloaded assets and project autosaves are stored locally. If media goes missing, CutTap can scan a folder, reconnect matching files, and preserve timeline edits. Video exports use MP4 or WebM; audio-only mixes use MP3 or WAV. Code Director compiles visual code channels into video files and audio channels into WAV files. Exports can continue while changing tabs, but the editor should remain open. A modern desktop browser with JavaScript enabled is required, and the site invites PayPal donations.
