The record

Recruiting purpose: Convo is an AI interview assistant for recruiting teams that offers live follow-up suggestions and prepares interview notes.
Live follow-ups: Ask AI uses the live transcript, uploaded role material, and earlier calls with the same person to suggest a follow-up question.
Interview playbook: Recruiters can create a role-specific playbook, and Convo tracks covered questions while keeping open questions visible.
After-interview notes: Recorded interviews include a full transcript, summary, action items, and a follow-up email draft for recruiter review.
Hiring decisions: Convo does not score candidates, infer culture fit, or recommend who should move forward; the hiring team makes the assessment.
Bot-free capture: Convo captures audio from the recruiter’s computer without a meeting bot, and its desktop window is hidden from screen sharing by default.
Integrations: The integrations page lists Greenhouse and Lever workflows for recruiting and supports automation through Zapier, Make, IFTTT, or Power Automate.
Platforms: Convo is available for macOS, Windows, and Linux.
Security: Convo states that it encrypts data in transit with TLS 1.3 and at rest with AES-256, and that customer conversation data is not used to train AI models.
Compliance limits: The maker says SOC 2 is targeted for 2027, HIPAA compliance and BAAs are not offered, and a penetration test has not yet been commissioned.
Retention and deletion: Conversation data is retained until deleted, similarity-index transcript segments are deleted after 60 days, and account deletion is completed within 30 days on request.
Support: The Enterprise plan includes a dedicated account manager for support.
Company: Convo says it was started in Barcelona in August 2025 and is 100% bootstrapped.
Headquarters: Austria
