What Concerto is

Concerto is a free, open-source digital signage system for displaying graphical, video, and text announcements on screens. Content can include graphics, ticker text, HTML text, and time or date information. Contributors may submit material to feeds, with moderator approval controlled by permissions. Screen templates can define content fields, background graphics, and CSS stylesheets. Items can be scheduled for date ranges, ordered within feeds, and shown sequentially, randomly, or by priority, with transition animations. Concerto 3 supports OpenID Connect sign-in through Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Keycloak, and Authentik. It can poll a user-controlled JSON URL to create or update content and provides an API. Deployment is available through Docker or the Git repository, with amd64 and arm64 images. The software is free to use and deploy under Apache License 2.0. Documentation calls Concerto 3 a work in progress.
