What Brindle Reference Checking is

Brindle Reference Checking automates reference checks for recruitment agencies, from consent capture and referee requests to completed reports. Recruiters create reusable question templates, add a candidate, capture consent, and send requests; Brindle sends reminders and returns a structured PDF. Accounts can hold unlimited templates with open, scaled, multiple-choice, and scenario-based questions. Referees respond through a guided web conversation, or recruiters can conduct the check by phone if a referee will not go online. Reports include answers by section, identity verification, a completion timestamp, an audit trail, and candidate and referee consent. CV templating formats a candidate’s CV to an agency’s house style and is included on annual plans. Brindle runs alongside products including JobAdder, Bullhorn, FastTrack360, and Astute, but does not yet offer ATS integration. It is web-based and aimed at temporary, labour-hire, and construction recruiters. Plans include a 90-day free trial with 200 references and 200 CVs, with no card required. Paid plans start at $299 a year, billed annually.
