Amazon SageMaker Studio Lab
What Amazon SageMaker Studio Lab is
Amazon SageMaker Studio Lab is a free web workspace for creating and running Jupyter notebooks with AWS compute, without signing up for an AWS account. It uses open-source JupyterLab 4 and supports open-source extensions. Projects can use CPU or GPU resources when available, upload files from a computer, clone GitHub notebooks and repositories, and use the AWS CLI to access Amazon S3. Studio Lab is no longer open to new customers, although existing customers can continue using it. The free plan costs nothing and includes 15 GB of storage, 16 GB of RAM, CPU use for up to eight hours in 24 hours and GPU use for up to four hours in 24 hours. AWS does not recommend it for production because of runtime limits. It does not support deployment, monitoring, pipelines, real-time predictions or large-scale distributed training. AWS says it will improve security and availability but does not plan new features.
Who it suits
Studio Lab suits existing customers who need a free browser-based Jupyter environment for notebook work and limited CPU or GPU experiments. It is not intended for production tasks or the listed unsupported machine-learning capabilities.

Verdict
Studio Lab provides a free notebook environment with file, GitHub and S3 access for existing users. Its access limits, unavailable new sign-ups and missing production capabilities make its scope narrow.
