What Alfie is

Alfie is a free web service that combines a household’s calendars into one schedule and answers schedule questions through an assistant. It connects with Google Calendar, Microsoft 365, Outlook.com, iCloud, CalDAV servers, and public ICS links. Connected accounts synchronize in both directions, while public ICS links are read-only. Each calendar can be shared with full details, as busy only, or hidden; work calendars begin with busy-only visibility. Parents can add children as managed profiles without accounts and later convert a profile into the child’s account. The assistant sees only information that the relevant household member has shared with the person asking. Alfie keeps synchronized copies of selected events and removes them when an account disconnects. Calendar tokens and CalDAV passwords use AES-256-GCM encryption at rest, and connections use TLS. Google Cloud Vertex AI processes relevant schedule entries, which Alfie says are not used for model training. Alfie runs in a browser; mobile apps are planned but unreleased.
