What Akaro is

Akaro is a browser-based collaboration workspace for architecture and design teams working with plans, 3D models, files and tasks. Its Canvas, Models, Files and Tasks modes can be arranged in single-pane or split-pane layouts. Models mode opens GLB and GLTF files, with tools to orbit and measure models, take screenshots, save camera views and pin tasks to model geometry. Canvas provides an infinite collaborative whiteboard and 2D CAD surface. It imports images, PDFs and DXF/DWG files, and exports PNG, PDF or DXF. Projects combine shared canvas and 3D viewing with chat, voice calls, tasks, comments and presence features. Phone recordings can be turned into AI Draft tasks for desktop review. The phone companion at my.akaro.app provides chat, calls, recordings and files; 3D models and boards remain on desktop. Permission groups can give Edit, View or Blocked access across organization and project areas. Sign-in is available through Google or an Indian +91 phone number using WhatsApp OTP. The Free Project plan allows one project per organization, up to three users, one model up to 500 MB and 3 GB of storage. The Paid Project costs ₹999.00 INR once, with no subscription or renewals, and includes 10 users, three models with no per-model size cap and 25 GB of storage.

Who it suits

Akaro suits architecture and design teams that need to review 3D models, mark up plans and coordinate files and tasks in one browser workspace. Its phone companion also suits teams that want to capture recordings on mobile and turn them into tasks for desktop review.

Limits

The Free Project is limited to one project per organization, up to three users, one model up to 500 MB and 3 GB of storage. The chat attachment limit is 100 MB per file. The Paid Project raises the listed allowances to 10 users, three models with no per-model size cap and 25 GB of storage.

Getting started

1. Open akaro.app in a browser.
2. Create an account using Google sign-in or an Indian +91 phone number with WhatsApp OTP.
3. Start with the Free Project or choose the Paid Project for its expanded user, model and storage allowances.
4. Invite teammates and set Edit, View or Blocked permissions for workspace modules.
5. Add plans or models, then use Canvas, Models, Files or Tasks to collaborate.
6. On a phone, use my.akaro.app for chat, calls, recordings and files.

Verdict

Choose Akaro if your team wants shared plan markup, model viewing, file management and task coordination in a browser. The free project is limited to three users, one model and 3 GB of storage; teams needing more can consider the ₹999.00 INR one-time Paid Project.
