It costs $349 in the United States, comes in 42mm and 46mm versions, and is made from gold-colored 316L stainless steel—not solid gold. Apple’s product pages reviewed in 2026 still list the bracelet at $349.
Contemporaneous launch coverage reported the November 13 release and $349 launch price.
What Apple launched
The Gold Link Bracelet is a standalone Apple Watch band, not a new watch model or a special Series 10 bundle. Apple designed its gold finish to complement the polished gold titanium Apple Watch Series 10, but the band also fits several older and newer case-size families.
- 42mm version: intended for the 42mm family.
- 46mm version: intended for the 46mm family, including the 49mm Apple Watch Ultra size.
- Design: articulated metal links and a concealed butterfly closure.
Apple’s 42mm product page and 46mm product page describe the construction, fit and compatibility.
#1 Best Overall
- Crafted from the same 316L stainless steel alloy as the case, the Link Bracelet has more than 100 components.
- The machining process is so precise, it takes nearly nine hours to cut the links for a single band.
- The custom butterfly closure folds neatly within the bracelet.
- And several links feature a simple release button, so you can add and remove links without any special tools.
- Band fits 150–200mm wrists. Compatible with Apple Watch Models 38mm, 40mm, 41mm, 42mm.
Is the Gold Link Bracelet made of real gold?
No. Apple identifies the bracelet’s material as a 316L stainless steel alloy. “Gold” describes the color or finish; it does not mean solid gold, a gold case, or a precious-metal investment. Apple does not describe the product as gold-plated jewelry, so the precise description is gold-colored stainless steel.
That distinction matters when comparing the band with a gold watch case or with jewelry. The bracelet can coordinate visually with a gold-finish Apple Watch, but it should not be valued as gold by weight.
Price and availability
Apple lists both the 42mm and 46mm Gold Link Bracelet at $349 in the United States. Apple’s 2026 Apple-branded pricing document also lists a $349 MSRP for each size. Taxes, shipping, regional prices, promotions and inventory can differ from that U.S. listing.

The bracelet first appeared with the Series 10 lineup in September 2024 but became available later. Reports of five-to-six-week shipping estimates and limited store stock refer to launch conditions in November 2024, not a current availability promise.
Compatibility: choose the correct size family
Use Apple’s case-size compatibility list rather than assuming that the number on an older watch must match the number on the band. The 42mm and 46mm labels describe Apple’s current size families.

| Gold Link Bracelet | Compatible Apple Watch case sizes | Apple-listed wrist range |
|---|---|---|
| 42mm | 38mm, 40mm, 41mm and 42mm | 135–195mm |
| 46mm | 44mm, 45mm, 46mm and 49mm (Apple Watch Ultra) | 150–200mm |
The ranges above come from Apple’s product listings. “Fits most wrists” does not mean every wrist will fit comfortably, so measure your wrist and confirm the range before ordering. A 49mm Ultra owner should select the 46mm bracelet.
Construction and adjustment
Apple says each bracelet contains more than 100 components and that cutting the links for one band takes nearly nine hours of machining. It uses a custom butterfly closure, which folds into the bracelet instead of leaving a conventional watch clasp exposed.
Several links have release buttons. Apple says you can add or remove those links without special tools:

- Press the release buttons on the appropriate links to remove or add links.
- If you need more length than the included links provide, check whether the separate Link Bracelet Kit is available for your size.
Tool-free link adjustment does not guarantee that the bracelet fits every wrist, and Apple’s pages do not establish independent durability, swimming or prolonged-immersion performance. For workouts, sweat, salt water or impact-heavy use, a sport-oriented band may be a more practical choice.
How it compares with Apple’s other metal bands
| Band | U.S. listed price | Closure and construction | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gold Link Bracelet | $349 | Articulated stainless-steel links; butterfly closure | Traditional bracelet appearance and Apple’s gold finish |
| Gold Milanese Loop | $99 in Apple’s 2026 pricing document | Woven stainless-steel mesh; magnetic closure | Lower-cost dress styling and continuous adjustment |
| Natural or Slate Link Bracelet | $349 in Apple’s 2026 pricing document | Same general Link Bracelet design in another finish | Neutral metal styling |
| 46mm Gold Link Bracelet Kit | $49 | Extra links only | Owners who need additional sizing length |
The Gold Milanese Loop is $250 less at the listed U.S. prices, but its mesh and magnetic closure feel and look different from a conventional linked bracelet. The Link Bracelet’s premium buys the articulated construction, concealed clasp and Apple’s integrated finish—not precious metal.

A third-party bracelet can provide the same broad visual idea for less money. For example, the iSTRAP Rose Gold Tri-Link Bracelet was listed at $139.99 AUD when crawled and uses a stainless-steel tri-link design with removable links and a butterfly clasp. That price is in Australian dollars, so it is not a like-for-like comparison with Apple’s U.S. price; shipping, taxes, returns, warranty and finish may differ.

- 【Chamfering treatment】 The sharp edge between the surface and the flank is cut away to a smooth 45° curve, then polished to a gleam. Third-party bands make sense when appearance matters more than Apple’s exact color match, packaging or retail support. Check the seller’s connector design, stated case-size compatibility and wrist range before buying.
Who should buy it?
It makes sense if you want
- Apple’s official gold-colored articulated bracelet.
- A conventional watch-bracelet silhouette with a concealed butterfly clasp.
- Adjustable links that do not require specialist tools.
- A band that can move between compatible Apple Watch generations.
Think twice if you want
- Actual gold or precious-metal value.
- The cheapest way to add a gold color.
- Continuous, fine-grained adjustment from a magnetic closure.
- A band primarily for exercise, water exposure or impact-heavy activities.
Bottom line
At $349, Apple’s Gold Link Bracelet is primarily a design purchase. Buy it if Apple’s finish, linked construction and butterfly clasp are worth the premium to you; choose the $99 Gold Milanese Loop or a reputable third-party stainless-steel bracelet if you mainly want a dressier gold-colored band. Either way, remember that the bracelet is stainless steel with a gold finish, not solid gold.
