Apple has already released several major products in 2026, including the iPhone 18 Pro lineup, new Apple Watches and AirPods, and updated Mac desktops. More products—including a possible iPad mini refresh, iMac update, and smart-home devices—are reported for later this year, but Apple has not confirmed those launches. The OLED touchscreen MacBook Pro redesign could arrive in late 2026 or slip into early 2027.
What Apple has released in 2026
Apple’s September 11 update says iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4, and AirPods 5 became available worldwide on September 18, 2026. Mac mini and Mac Studio followed on September 22. Apple also says a Mac Studio configuration with 512GB of unified memory is scheduled to become available in late October. These are confirmed availability statements from Apple’s Newsroom.

Products reportedly still possible in 2026
A September 22 MacRumors roundup groups these products among the possibilities for the remainder of the year. Neither that report nor Apple’s reviewed announcements confirms their release dates or specifications.
#1 Best Overall
- This phone is unlocked and compatible with any carrier of choice on GSM and CDMA networks (e.g. AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, US Cellular, Cricket, Metro, Tracfone, Mint Mobile, etc.).

iPad mini
A refreshed iPad mini is reported to be in the pipeline, potentially with an OLED display, a redesigned speaker system and improved water resistance. The chip is unsettled in the reporting: A19 Pro and A20 Pro have both been mentioned. Treat all of these as unconfirmed possibilities, not specifications to rely on when deciding whether to buy.
24-inch iMac
A 24-inch iMac refresh with an M6 chip is reported as a possibility, with new colors also mentioned. There is no confirmed announcement or launch date in the reviewed sources.

Base 14-inch MacBook Pro
Reports point to a possible base 14-inch MacBook Pro refresh with an M6 chip. This is separate from the more substantial redesign described below; Apple has not confirmed either model’s timing.
Apple TV and HomePod mini
A new Apple TV is rumored to bring a newer chip, Siri AI support, Wi-Fi 7 and an updated remote. A refreshed HomePod mini is reported as a possibility with a newer chip, improved audio, Siri AI support, Wi-Fi 7 and new colors. These feature lists are reports, not Apple specifications.

- Advanced dual-camera system. 48MP Main | Ultra Wide. Super-high-resolution photos (24MP and 48MP). Next-generation portraits with Focus and Depth Control. 4X optical zoom range
- Emergency SOS via satellite. Crash Detection. Roadside Assistance via satellite

Smart-home hub
Reporting also describes a smart-home display with Siri AI and a screen of roughly 6 to 7 inches, potentially offered in tabletop and wall-mounted forms. The product and its design remain unconfirmed.
Will the OLED MacBook Pro arrive this year?
The most notable timing uncertainty is a higher-end MacBook Pro redesign described in reporting as thinner and equipped with an OLED touchscreen, potentially with a Dynamic Island. Its arrival is placed either in late 2026 or early 2027, so it should not be treated as a dependable year-end launch. MacRumors’ upcoming Apple products guide places it across that year boundary.

Is Apple holding an October event?
An October announcement window is plausible, but Apple has not announced an event date. MacRumors notes that Apple has historically made October product announcements, while also pointing out that launches may instead arrive through press releases; November or December announcements are less common. That history is context, not evidence that a particular event or product launch is scheduled. The September 22 roundup is the more recent snapshot of the immediate year-end possibilities than MacRumors’ September 11 article, which had also allowed that the OLED MacBook Pro could slip into 2027.
Should you wait for a rumored Apple product?
Base the decision on what you need now and whether the reported change would matter to your use—not on an unannounced specification. If you need a tablet now, compare an available iPad mini with the cost of waiting for a successor whose timing and OLED, speaker and water-resistance claims are not confirmed. For a MacBook Pro, distinguish the reported base-model chip refresh from the higher-end redesign: the latter has a wider timing window that extends into 2027.
