Apple hat laut MacRumors am 1. Oktober 2026 auf Instagram eine Galerie mit sechs Fotos veröffentlicht, die mit dem iPhone Duo aufgenommen wurden. Der Bericht ordnet die Bilder den Fotografen Jake Michaels und Jason Nocito zu und beschreibt sie als Teil eines von Apple beauftragten Projekts. Die Galerie zeigt damit Apples kuratierte Auswahl – keinen unabhängigen Kameratest.
Welche Fotos hat Apple geteilt?
Die sechs Bilder wurden für ein von Apple beauftragtes Projekt aufgenommen. MacRumors nennt Jake Michaels und Jason Nocito als Fotografen und berichtet über die Veröffentlichung auf Apples Instagram-Konto. Die Fotos sind daher als ausgewählte Präsentation des Geräts einzuordnen, nicht als spontan eingereichte Nutzerbilder.

Was Apples Kameraangaben zum iPhone Duo sagen
Apple beschreibt das rückwärtige Kamerasystem mit einer 48-MP-Fusion-Hauptkamera und einer 48-MP-Fusion-Ultraweitwinkelkamera. Die Standardauflösung der Rückkameras beträgt laut Unternehmen 24 MP. Das sind Herstellerangaben, keine unabhängig gemessenen Ergebnisse der Instagram-Galerie. Details nennt Apples Produkteinführung und die offizielle Spezifikationsseite.

Aufnehmen und Bildgestaltung
- Smart Foto: Laut Apple analysiert On-Device-KI die Szene und löst automatisch aus, wenn die Personen in Position sind.
- Duo Preview: Die fotografierte Person kann eine Live-Vorschau auf dem äußeren Display sehen.
- Blickfang: Animationen sollen Kindern helfen, in Richtung Kamera zu schauen.
- Frontkameras: Apple beschreibt eine äußere Center-Stage-Kamera, die Aufnahmen automatisch in jeder Ausrichtung machen kann, sowie eine FaceTime-Kamera unter dem inneren Display.
Diese Funktionen erklären, welche Aufnahmeabläufe Apple hervorhebt. Sie belegen nicht, dass die sechs veröffentlichten Fotos mit einer bestimmten Funktion entstanden sind oder dass das Kamerasystem anderen Geräten generell überlegen ist.
Zoom und Video
Apple gibt für das iPhone Duo bis zu 2x Zoom in optischer Qualität an und nennt die Aufnahmestufen 0,5x, 1x und 2x. Das ist nicht gleichbedeutend mit einem dedizierten Teleobjektiv. In seiner Produkt-FAQ stellt Apple dem die iPhone-18-Pro-Modelle gegenüber, für die es bis zu 8x Zoom in optischer Qualität angibt. Beide Werte sind Apples Spezifikationen, keine Ergebnisse eines direkten Tests der hier gezeigten Bilder.

Nein. Eine kuratierte Galerie kann zeigen, welche Ergebnisse Apple öffentlich präsentieren möchte, aber sie ersetzt keinen kontrollierten Vergleich. Für einen belastbaren Test wären unter anderem identische Motive und Lichtbedingungen, nachvollziehbare Kameraeinstellungen sowie eine klare Vergleichsmethode nötig. Die verfügbaren Angaben enthalten weder vollständige EXIF-Daten aller sechs Fotos noch unabhängige quantitative Bildqualitätsmessungen.

Die Bilder allein erlauben deshalb keine verlässliche Bewertung etwa von Detailzeichnung, Rauschen bei wenig Licht, Dynamikumfang oder der Leistung gegenüber einem dedizierten Teleobjektiv. Ebenso wenig lässt sich aus einer Auswahl von sechs Aufnahmen eine allgemeine Rangfolge gegenüber anderen Smartphones ableiten.
