The report cites multiple unnamed sources familiar with the matter, but Apple has not confirmed a second wave. It gives no exact date, product list, or announcement format.
What the report says about Apple’s late-October announcements
In an October 5, 2026 report, 9to5Mac said MacRumors was reporting that Apple would unveil another batch of products in the final week of October. MacRumors attributed the information to “multiple sources familiar with the matter.” The account is therefore attributed reporting, not an official Apple schedule. Read the 9to5Mac report.

How the late-October report differs from October 13 expectations
The same 9to5Mac article describes a separate set of expectations for October 13, attributed to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman: a screen-equipped smart home hub, a new HomePod mini, and an updated Apple TV. Those devices are tied to the earlier expected announcement, not established as products in the reported late-October wave. 9to5Mac’s October 5 report.

Could the OLED iPad mini or new Macs be part of it?
The article also mentions an OLED iPad mini and new Macs among products expected before year-end, including an updated iMac and a touchscreen OLED MacBook Pro with an M6 chip. It does not confirm that any of them will appear in the late-October announcements. Treat them as possibilities, not the second wave’s announced lineup. 9to5Mac’s report.

What to take away
There is a report of a possible second Apple announcement wave in October, but its timing is only described as the final week and its contents remain unknown. Until Apple confirms details, neither the October 13 expectations nor the OLED iPad mini and Mac rumors should be presented as part of that later wave.
