Apple May Be Behind HomeView Trademark Filing, but a Smart-Home Hub Is Unconfirmed

A U.S. trademark application for HOMEVIEW covers smart-home hubs and home-automation hubs, but it does not confirm that Apple filed it or plans to launch a device under that name. The application names Home Services LLC as its applicant; the possible Apple connection and any future HomeView or homeOS branding remain unconfirmed.

What the HOMEVIEW trademark records say

The U.S. application, serial number 99097257, names Home Services LLC—not Apple—as the applicant. It was filed on March 21, 2025, and lists a priority date of September 24, 2024. Its goods include computers, software, wireless communications devices, displays and touchscreens, cameras, home-automation hardware and hubs, smart-home hubs, voice-recognition apparatus, and residential security and surveillance equipment. A corresponding Canadian application, number 2394521, also names Home Services LLC and was filed on March 21, 2025, with the same September 24, 2024 priority date. It lists smart-home hubs among its goods. The Canadian registry displays its status as “LIVE/APPLICATION/Under Examination”; that means the record is an application under examination, not a confirmed registration. Does the filing mean an Apple smart-home hub is coming?

No. The goods list makes smart-home hardware one possible use the applicant seeks to cover, but a trademark application is not proof that a product exists, is in development, will ship, or will use the HOMEVIEW name.

#1 Best Overall

An October 9, 2026 report describes the filing as potentially connected to Apple. The official U.S. record, however, names Home Services LLC, and the available evidence does not establish that Apple controls the company. It is therefore more accurate to say Apple may be behind the filing than to say Apple filed the mark. October 9, 2026 report

How homeOS fits in—and what remains unverified

The report also discusses a separate homeOS filing attributed to Home Operations Suite LLC as potentially connected to Apple. The available evidence here does not verify that filing’s underlying details or establish a relationship between Home Operations Suite LLC and Home Services LLC. The two filings should not be treated as proof of a single confirmed Apple product or naming plan.

The report notes that trademark filings have not always predicted Apple’s final branding: it cites visionOS as a name that was ultimately used and xrOS as a name reportedly abandoned in favor of visionOS. Those examples illustrate why an application alone cannot settle what Apple might call a future product; they do not show that HOMEVIEW or homeOS will be adopted.
