Apollo Dash Electric Scooter Review: Feature-Rich, but Is 43 lb Too Heavy?

The Apollo Dash is a feature-packed commuter scooter with a practical catch: at 43 lb, it may be manageable for a short carry but burdensome on regular flights of stairs. Apollo lists it for $699 in the US, currently on preorder with delivery expected in late October 2026. Its claimed range is up to 25 miles in Eco mode, not a guarantee of everyday mileage. T3’s hands-on review praises the Dash’s handling, deck and lighting, while flagging its weight and rear drum brake as trade-offs.

Is the Apollo Dash worth considering?

It looks promising for an adult commuter who values connected features, visibility and nimble handling more than easy stair-carrying or suspension. T3 describes its ride as planted, nimble and comfortable, and praises the rubberized deck and lighting. But its 43 lb weight and lack of suspension matter if your route involves carrying the scooter or riding rough pavement.

That balance is especially important at the current US price of $699: the Dash offers more convenience and security features than a bare-bones first scooter, but buyers should decide whether those extras suit their route and daily routine.

Canada and the UK

T3 reports a Canadian retail price of $849 CAD and the same late-October delivery timing. Apollo support lists the Dash as available in the US and Canada; T3 says Apollo had no set UK plans. The evidence does not establish UK availability, so UK buyers should not assume the scooter can be ordered there. See T3’s Apollo Dash review and Apollo’s availability information for market details.

How fast is the Dash, and how far can it go?

Apollo advertises a top speed of up to 20 mph and a maximum range of up to 25 miles in Eco mode. The company says actual range varies with rider weight, speed, terrain and conditions, so treat 25 miles as a manufacturer maximum rather than a dependable commute distance. T3 reports that its test scooter delivered around the manufacturer-stated Eco range and took about five hours to charge from empty; that report is not a guarantee for every rider or route.

What is it like to carry and ride?

Carrying and comfort

At 43 lb, the Dash is not an especially light choice for a scooter you need to lift often. T3’s reviewer found it relatively easy to carry for short distances, but warned that long flights of stairs could be taxing. There is no suspension, so rough surfaces may feel less forgiving than on a suspended scooter. The 9.5-inch tubeless tires and rubberized deck are part of the package, but do not erase that limitation.

Handling and braking

T3 calls the Dash planted and nimble, and describes its ride as comfortable. The reviewer preferred a disc brake to the scooter’s rear drum brake, while praising the separate control for regenerative braking. Those are review impressions rather than independent braking tests.

Is the Dash a good first electric scooter?

It could suit an adult who wants a first scooter with app controls, tracking, NFC unlocking and integrated lighting, and whose regular route does not require frequent stair-carrying or smooth suspension over rough roads. Its claimed 20 mph maximum also makes it important to learn the controls and braking before riding in traffic or around other people.

Apollo says the Dash is intended for adults 18 and older. It warns that incorrect assembly, maintenance or use can cause component or performance failure, loss of control, serious injury or death. Read the manual and safety information before riding; Apollo’s product page lists the product specifications and safety information. The manufacturer also assigns responsibility for checking local regulations to the customer, so verify the rules where you plan to ride rather than assuming the same speed or equipment rules apply everywhere.
