AGON by AOC has announced the AGON PRO AGP257FT, a 24.5-inch Full HD esports monitor with a manufacturer-rated native refresh rate of 1,000Hz and an overclocked mode of up to 1,050Hz. AOC expects it to become available from Q1 2027; it has not announced a price.
What AOC announced
The AGP257FT is a 1920 × 1080 oxide-based Fast IPS monitor aimed at professional esports and other fast-paced competitive games. AOC announced the model on 30 September 2026. Its headline specification is 1,000Hz at native operation; 1,050Hz is an optional overclocked maximum, not the native rate. AOC says both modes can be used through DisplayPort 2.1 or HDMI 2.1. AOC’s announcement and model specification page list the product details.

These are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results. The response-time figures refer to different measures: GtG means gray-to-gray pixel transition, while MPRT is a motion-picture response-time figure that AOC lists alongside motion blur reduction. They should not be treated as interchangeable or as a guarantee of measured performance in every mode.
Ports, stand and other features
AOC lists two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 2.1 connector, plus a headphone output. The USB hub has three 5Gbps USB-A ports; AOC says one supports BC1.2 fast charging. The stand offers 150mm of height adjustment, tilt, swivel and pivot. Additional listed features include measurement markings, a quick-release mechanism, a QuickSwitch keypad, Light FX lighting, a headset hook, and picture-in-picture and picture-by-picture modes.

When will the AGP257FT be available, and what will it cost?
AOC expects availability from Q1 2027. It says regional European pricing will be announced closer to launch. No price is stated in the announcement, and the published information does not establish an exact country-by-country release date or a current retail listing. The Q1 date is an expectation, not a confirmed date for every market.

A 1,000Hz refresh rate means the display can refresh up to 1,000 times per second in its specified native mode. The number alone does not establish how much clearer motion will look, how responsive the complete system will feel, or whether a particular game and PC can deliver a matching frame rate. TechRadar’s 1 October 2026 commentary raises the broader question of whether most players need such a high rate and points to the importance of sustained frame rates and the rest of the system; it is not a test of this monitor. Read that commentary.

AOC’s announcement and product page do not provide independent measurements of motion clarity, input performance, image quality or the benefits of the monitor in specific games. Those questions remain open until testing is available. Its Full HD resolution and esports focus are clear from the specifications; whether the unusually high refresh rate is worthwhile will depend on the games, system and results of independent evaluation.
