How crafting works in Anime Zero
Crafting turns collected materials into accessories. Beebom’s October 9, 2026 guide reports 14 craftable accessories and describes the following interface path:
- Open Areas.
- Select Crafting.
- Choose Yugi, the Forger.
- Select Craft, then choose the accessory you want.
- Review the required materials and press Quick Craft when the inventory check is satisfied.
Labels can move when an update changes the crafting screen. If you do not see Yugi or the same button names, use the current Areas and Crafting menus as the authority instead of forcing an older route.
Materials may also come from Story Mode, Infinite Mode, breakable objects, the Material Shop, and conversion, according to the same guide. Those sources are alternatives, not interchangeable guarantees: a breakable object or shop listing may be useful for a small shortage, while a chapter reward preview is normally the clearest way to target a particular item.
How do you get crafting materials in Anime Zero?
Use a recipe-first process. Starting a random chapter and hoping for a useful item creates wasted clears and can consume materials needed for a more important evolution.
1. Select the accessory or evolution before farming
Open the crafting interface and record the exact current requirements. If you are preparing a weapon evolution as well as an accessory, write down both lists. Recipes can change with balance updates, and a guide’s older screenshot may not match the live requirement.
2. Reserve materials for higher-priority plans
Subtract only the materials that are genuinely free to spend. The materials guide reviewed October 11, 2026 recommends preserving ingredients for planned evolution and priority crafts. Put reserved items in a separate written tally so a later conversion or Quick Craft action cannot consume them accidentally.

3. Match each shortage to a reward preview
For every missing item, search the Story or mode reward panel by exact name. The useful rule from the materials guide is: “Use the act reward preview to find a Story material.” Do not select a stage merely because its icon resembles the recipe icon; names such as Soul Fragments, Wave Cores, or Sun Cores must match the requirement.

4. Choose a repeatable difficulty
Use the highest difficulty you can clear consistently without frequent failures. A theoretical higher reward is not efficient if retries, revives, or long recovery periods make each successful item take longer. Keep the difficulty fixed while comparing routes so the result is meaningful.
5. Recheck your inventory after each clear
Record the target-material increase, not just the number of stages completed. Some runs may credit several items, none, or a different material from the same pool. Stop when the recipe is complete rather than continuing to farm a broad pool “just in case.”
Chapter-by-chapter farming choices
Chapter 1: four early materials
Chapter 1 is the reported source for Eyeballs, Cursed Fingers, Soul Fragments, and Magic Pendants. If a recipe needs one of these, inspect the Chapter 1 preview at the difficulty you intend to repeat. The shop prices reported for Eyeballs, Cursed Fingers, and Magic Pendants vary sharply, so a short Chapter 1 run may be preferable to buying a large missing quantity.
Chapter 2: Broken Blades and Tech Components
Chapter 2 is associated with Broken Blades and Tech Components. The cited location table does not give a separate rate for either item or distinguish their relative frequency. Treat them as the same route family for planning, then measure which one your own clears actually credit.

Chapter 3 and Infinite: higher-tier pool
Mana Feathers, Wave Cores, Forbidden Fruit, and Sun Cores are reported in Chapter 3 and Infinite waves. Infinite can be attractive when you are already equipped for sustained waves, while a repeatable Chapter 3 clear may be better for a build that finishes acts quickly. Compare them with the same build and target one material at a time.

Fine Cloth and Shinobi Scrolls: broad availability
Fine Cloth and Shinobi Scrolls are reported across all Story chapters and Infinite waves. This broad pool gives you flexibility: farm the shortest stage you can clear reliably, or collect them while targeting another material in the same reward panel. Because both are also listed in the Material Shop, they are often practical items to buy when only a few remain.
Spirit’s Bathtub on Nightmare
Ghosts and Staffs of Homa are reported only from the Spirit’s Bathtub raid on Nightmare difficulty. Confirm that Nightmare is selected before starting. A lower-difficulty clear should not be assumed to progress a recipe that calls for either raid material.

The table gives a decision point, not a universal shopping recommendation. Buy when the live price is acceptable, the stock covers the small deficit, and another run would take longer or carry a meaningful failure risk. For a large recipe, farming is usually easier to evaluate because the shop’s reported stock is limited. Recalculate after a patch because both cost and stock can change.
When conversion helps—and when it wastes materials
Conversion lets you trade owned materials for another crafting need. It is useful when a recipe is one or two items short and your inventory contains surplus items that are not reserved for an evolution or planned accessory. It is risky when you convert a broad-pool material simply because it is currently abundant.
- Reserve every ingredient already assigned to a recipe or evolution.
- Convert only the surplus left after those reservations.
- Check the conversion rate and resulting quantity on the live screen before confirming.
- Prefer a short, reliable farm when conversion would consume a scarce item or leave you unable to complete another plan.
- Recheck the destination material immediately after conversion.
The materials guide and the crafting guide both describe conversion as an option, while cautioning against indiscriminate exchanges. Neither source establishes that conversion is cheaper than farming for every item.

How to test an efficient farming route yourself
No reviewed source publishes an official per-material drop percentage or a verified universal pity count. One independent guide also says it has not verified how any reported pity behavior applies across acts, materials, and difficulties. You can still compare routes for your account by measuring them consistently.

- Choose one target material and two candidate activities, such as Chapter 3 and Infinite.
- Use the same character build, speed settings, and team configuration for every attempt.
- Keep difficulty constant where the modes allow it, or record the difficulty separately when they do not.
- Start with the same inventory count and record the clock time before each clear.
- After every successful clear, record target-material drops, total time, and any Coins or other resources that matter to your decision.
- Include failed attempts, retries, loading time, and recovery time if they occur in normal play.
- Repeat enough clears to smooth out unlucky runs, then compare target items per minute rather than assuming the first result is a drop rate.
A simple log can use columns for activity, difficulty, clear time, target items, failures, and cumulative items per minute. This measures your route with your build; it does not prove a game-wide probability. If an update changes rewards, start a new log instead of combining old and new results.
Choose reliability over a fragile record
The route with the highest single-run payout is not necessarily the efficient route. A slightly slower stage that you clear every time may outperform a difficult stage with occasional defeats. If a run requires a special setup, record the setup cost and the time needed to restore it before comparing.
Best first craft for a new player
An Anime Zero beginner guide last verified October 11, 2026 against Update 2 and the October 10 balance fix recommends the Gentleman’s Top Hat as an inexpensive first accessory. The reported recipe costs 8 Fine Cloth and provides +3% Damage, +5% Experience, and +2 Walk Speed. The accessories reference also lists 8 Fine Cloth as the lowest material cost in its table.
That recommendation is a practical starting point, not an official best-in-slot ranking. Fine Cloth is reported across all Story chapters and Infinite, so a new player can work toward the hat while progressing normally. Before crafting, confirm that the live recipe still says 8 Fine Cloth and that the listed bonuses match your current version.

How to choose later accessories
After the first craft, compare accessories by the problem you are trying to solve and by the materials still available in your inventory. A damage accessory may shorten clears, while an experience or movement bonus may improve progression and farming. The recipe’s missing materials should be part of the comparison: an item that requires a Nightmare-only raid is a different commitment from one using Fine Cloth available in ordinary Story clears.
Farming utility versus damage
One accessories reference describes Blast Archer Wings as a farming-oriented option and Blast Archer Crown as a damage-oriented option. Those are guide evaluations, not official rankings. Use your own clear log to decide whether faster movement, experience, or combat power produces more target materials per minute for your build.
Account for opportunity cost
Do not judge an accessory only by its displayed bonus. Count the material cost, the source difficulty, the shop alternative, and whether spending the item delays a weapon evolution. If two accessories solve the same problem, the one using materials from your existing route may be the more efficient next craft.
Common mistakes and fixes
Farming the wrong chapter
Symptom: several clears produce no required item. Fix: reopen the recipe and search the current reward preview by exact material name. An icon or a guide table is not enough if an update moved the item.
Confusing similar names
Symptom: the inventory contains a visually similar item, but the recipe remains incomplete. Fix: compare the full names, such as Eyeball versus another eye-themed item, or Shinobi Scroll versus a different scroll. Crafting checks the named material.
Spending reserved evolution materials
Symptom: an accessory is complete but a planned evolution can no longer be started. Fix: maintain a written reserve before using Quick Craft, the shop, or conversion.
Buying from an outdated shop table
Symptom: the displayed cost or stock differs from a guide. Fix: trust the live shop panel and treat the dated figures above only as a reference snapshot from October 9, 2026.
Assuming a pity counter guarantees a material
Symptom: a player expects a fixed number of runs and stops testing alternatives. Fix: no verified universal pity threshold or official material rate is established in the cited guides. Track actual credited items and update the plan when the game changes.

Symptom: a route appears faster because it was tested with a stronger build or fewer failures. Fix: hold build, difficulty, and recording method constant, and include retries and recovery time.

- Select the exact accessory or evolution first.
- Copy the current recipe requirements from the live crafting screen.
- Reserve materials needed for other confirmed plans.
- Match each missing name to a Story, Infinite, or raid reward preview.
- Choose a difficulty you can clear consistently.
- Record time and target-material credit for repeated runs.
- Compare a small shop purchase when the live stock covers only a minor deficit.
- Use conversion only with genuine surplus.
- Recheck recipes, rewards, and prices after updates.
Following this order keeps farming focused: the game tells you what the recipe needs, the reward preview tells you where that name is currently available, and your own run log tells you which of those options is efficient for your build.
