There is no permanent master list of Animal Crossing: New Horizons Treasure Island codes. Each Dodo Code is created by a player host for a particular online session, usually shared through a recently dated community post or livestream. A code advertised in October 2026 can stop working as soon as the host closes the gate, ends the session, or reaches a visitor limit, so use fresh listings and try them promptly.
What a Treasure Island code is
A Treasure Island is an unofficial, community-run island stocked with items such as resources, furniture, clothing or other in-game goods. The host opens the island through Dodo Airlines and receives a five-digit Dodo Code. Visitors use that code to enter the host’s current session.

Nintendo treats island visits as a normal multiplayer feature, but it does not publish a Treasure Island directory or endorse third-party code lists. Codes are session-specific rather than permanent passwords. The host can close the gate to block new arrivals or end the session, making an accurately typed code fail later.

- Look for a community post or livestream dated as recently as possible. Public-code communities commonly moderate posts, and an old search result may show an island that is already closed.
- Check that the host says the gate is open and notes any queue, visitor cap or island rules.
- Prefer listings that explain what to do if the island is full or the code has closed. Treat the timestamp and stated gate status as more important than how prominently a listing appears in search.
- Try the code soon after it is posted. If it fails, check the host’s latest update rather than repeatedly entering the same code.
How to enter a Treasure Island Dodo Code
You need Animal Crossing: New Horizons on a Nintendo Switch-family console, an internet connection and an active Nintendo Switch Online membership for an internet visit.

- Select Via online play.

- Enter the host’s five-digit code, confirm the displayed island and accept the visit.
- When finished, return to the airport and choose I want to go home.
Leaving through the airport is the normal exit and helps the host keep the session orderly. Do not close the game or disconnect intentionally while carrying items unless the host specifically tells visitors to do so.
Online Dodo Codes versus local wireless

Local wireless is a separate mode. A local visit does not use an internet Treasure Island code, and Nintendo Switch Online is required for the online route described above.
Why a correct code may not work
- The host closed the gate: Hosts can stop accepting visitors at any time.
- The session ended: A new session normally receives a different code.
- The island is full: A queue or visitor limit may prevent entry even while the gate is technically open.
- The listing is stale: A code copied from an older post may no longer reflect the host’s current session.
- Connection or membership issue: Confirm that your console is online and that Nintendo Switch Online is active before retrying.
Recheck the host’s newest message, verify each digit and try once more. If the host reports a closed or full island, wait for a replacement code instead of treating the failure as an input error.

Safety and etiquette
Treasure Island access is unofficial community activity. A host should never need your Nintendo Account password, recovery code, payment details or remote access to your console or account. Do not provide any of those to obtain a Dodo Code.
- Read the host’s item, queue and behavior rules before flying.
- Take only what the host says is available and avoid blocking airport entrances or other visitors.
- Be respectful and kind in chat and while waiting.
- Leave with the airport’s I want to go home command.
A Dodo Code grants access to a temporary multiplayer session; it does not grant ownership of the host’s account or island. Report suspicious requests to the platform or community moderators and stop communicating with anyone demanding credentials or payment.

- Freshness: When was the post or stream updated?
- Gate status: Does the host explicitly say the gate is open now?
- Capacity: Are queues, visitor limits or timed entry rules stated?
- Rules: Are item limits, behavior expectations and departure instructions clear?
- Recovery information: Does the listing tell visitors how to learn that an island is closed or full?
These checks cannot guarantee entry because the host controls the session, but they reduce the chance of relying on an expired code.

Codes may appear and disappear throughout the month as hosts open and close their gates. No authoritative October 2026 count, success rate or named-person endorsement establishes how many islands are active. The reliable expectation is simply that codes are temporary, community supplied and subject to the host’s live settings.
