Recent walkthroughs describe this as a hidden, unmarked scene rather than a quest with a normal map marker.
Before you go
- Reach Russet Highlands and use First Sight Sanctum as your navigation anchor. The reported scene is west of the waypoint, around community-map coordinates (-597, 1628). Treat those coordinates as approximate guidance, not an official marker.
- Bring an Aniimo with the Cloak ability. Walkthroughs list Wisptis, Ignitis, and Fulmintis as options; you only need a suitable Cloak carrier for the reported approach.
- Have capture items and a team ready for an encounter. The published walkthroughs report that interacting with the helmet triggers the Helmut encounter.
Walkthrough
- Fast-travel to First Sight Sanctum. From there, head west toward the reported pedestal and the group of Helmuts.
- Twine with a Cloak-capable Aniimo and activate Cloak before approaching. The guides say Cloak lets you pass the Devoted Helmut guarding the scene without alerting it.
- Interact with the Golden Helmet while cloaked. This is reported to reveal a Mountain Woods Helmut encounter.
- Capture the Mountain Woods Helmut. Capturing it is the completion action described in the walkthroughs.
Which Aniimo can provide Cloak?
Walkthroughs name Wisptis, Ignitis, and Fulmintis as Cloak-capable choices, but do not establish a universally best option.

- Wisptis: One guide reports finding it in Berylline Vale at night.
- Ignitis: Listed as another Cloak-capable option; the guides do not give a comparative ranking.
- Fulmintis: One guide says it requires the Advanced Edition of the Companion Handbook. That source does not establish whether the handbook is a physical item or whether it is currently available.
Why you may not see a quest marker
The scene is reported as absent from the usual Journey log and map markers. If you have reached Russet Highlands but cannot find a quest entry, navigate from First Sight Sanctum toward the approximate location instead of waiting for a marker to appear.
What completing the scene gives you
The consistent immediate outcome reported by the walkthroughs is the chance to capture Mountain Woods Helmut. Some guides also mention further regional spawns or unlocks, but those broader claims are not consistent enough to treat as guaranteed results of this encounter.
