Manual editing is the reliable choice when you want control over every feature; a Face Code or QR import is the faster choice when you have found a look worth reusing. The import route is described by independent Aniimo guides, but its exact menu names, platform support, server compatibility and price can change. Treat the options shown in your current game client as authoritative, preview any imported result, and read the confirmation screen before saving.
This guide explains what each approach does, how to use the reported import flow, how to build a character without a code, and what to do when a code is missing, unreadable or incompatible.

What Aniimo character customization lets you change
Aniimo’s character editor is described as a combination of presets and detailed appearance controls. Independent guides identify separate areas for the face, face shape, makeup, hair, outfit and accessories. You can begin with a preset and refine it, or build a look by moving through those categories yourself. The exact controls available to you depend on the current client, so a missing slider or category is not evidence that your account is malfunctioning.
Presets are starting points, not a finished look
A preset gives you a coherent base quickly. It is useful when you know the general style you want but do not want to tune every parameter from a blank editor. After selecting one, you can normally continue into the appearance categories and change individual features. A preset does not make manual editing unnecessary; it simply reduces the number of initial choices.

Face, shape and makeup controls
The face and face-shape sections determine the broad proportions of the character. Makeup controls add or alter cosmetic details. The practical advantage of editing these areas yourself is that you can change one characteristic without replacing the entire design. For example, you can keep the overall face from a preset while adjusting the shape or makeup to match your preferred style.
Hair, outfit and accessories complete the presentation
Hair, clothing and accessories affect how the final design reads even when the facial settings stay the same. If you are recreating a shared screenshot, compare these categories as well as the face. A code that reproduces facial data may not give you the identical complete presentation if the creator used separate hair, outfit or accessory selections.
What Face Blend and detail options do
One independent explanation describes Face Blend as a way to combine features from presets before refining the result manually. This makes it a middle ground between choosing one preset and adjusting every control from scratch. Start with the blended result, then inspect the face and face-shape details rather than assuming the blend has produced the exact proportions you want.

What a Face Code, Face ID or QR import is
A Face Code is shared appearance data. Instead of reconstructing another player’s settings one by one, you enter or scan the data and start from the shared design. Depending on what the client currently offers, the data may be presented as a Face ID/code or as a QR image. Importing does not automatically mean the result is permanent or complete: you still need to inspect the preview and make any edits the client permits.

Why players use codes
- Speed: a suitable code can remove much of the manual reconstruction work.
- Repeatability: you can return to a shared design without trying to remember every slider position.
- Learning: comparing an imported result with the editor can show how a particular look was assembled.
The trade-off is less certainty. The code may be stale, unreadable, tied to a different client context or unsupported where you are playing. The reviewed sources do not establish a universal compatibility matrix for platforms, regions or servers.
Codes are community-created content
Most publicly shared designs come from players, not from the game’s official content system. AniimoShare’s Face Codes directory identifies itself as an independent fan platform that publishes player submissions, previews and copyable codes. Its listings are not official Aniimo game content. Use the preview and creator information to decide whether a design is worth trying, but do not treat a directory listing as a guarantee that the code still works in your client.

The comparison reflects descriptions from independent guides rather than a hands-on test. The current client remains the final authority on which controls and import paths are available to you.
How to create a character manually
Manual editing is the better route when the look is personal, when you cannot find a trustworthy code, or when you want to understand exactly which settings changed. Use this sequence to avoid repeatedly rebuilding the same work.
- Open the character-customization editor. Start from the game’s current customization entry point. Menu names can change, so follow the labels displayed in your client rather than an old screenshot.
- Choose a base preset. Pick the closest overall face or style. If none is suitable, select the simplest starting point available and plan to adjust the major proportions first.
- Set the face and face shape. Work from broad proportions to smaller details. Make one category of changes at a time so you can tell which adjustment produced an unwanted result.
- Apply makeup and other facial details. Check the design at the preview scale used by the editor. Details that look subtle in a close-up may be stronger in the normal gameplay view.
- Select hair, outfit and accessories. Match these to the intended character concept. If you are copying a reference image, verify that the apparent difference is not caused by hair, clothing or accessories rather than facial settings.
- Use Face Blend if you want a hybrid starting point. Combine the available preset features, then return to the face and detail controls for corrections. Blending is a starting method, not a substitute for checking the final proportions.
- Preview the complete design. Inspect the face, styling and accessories together. Look for clipping, unexpected color changes or a feature that was reset when another category was edited.
- Save only after checking the client’s confirmation. The editor may distinguish initial character creation from a later appearance change. Read the current confirmation screen before accepting.
For a record you can reproduce later, capture your own screenshots of the final settings and note the preset, blend choices and category changes. This is especially useful if the editor does not provide an exportable code for your design.

How to import a Face ID or QR code
The following sequence is the workflow reported by independent Aniimo guides, not an officially verified end-to-end procedure. Your client may use different labels or may not expose the feature in your current context.
- Open character customization. Enter the editor where face or appearance data can be applied.
- Look for “Import Face Data.” An independent guide uses this label for the import entry point. If it is absent, check the other face-data or sharing controls shown by your client rather than assuming the feature is available.
- Select the route offered by the client. Choose the Face ID/code option if you have a text code, or choose the QR route if the client provides a scanner or image input.
- Enter or scan the data carefully. Preserve every character in a text code. For a QR image, use a clear, complete image; cropped, compressed or low-contrast images may not decode.
- Wait for the preview. Compare the displayed face with the creator’s reference. A successful decode only means that data was read; it does not prove that the result matches the original environment.
- Inspect the editable categories. Check whether face shape, makeup, hair, outfit and accessories are present and whether the client lets you refine them.
- Read the confirmation screen. Confirm the displayed result and any charge or requirement before saving. Do not accept an import solely because the code decoded successfully.
- Save or cancel. Save only when the preview and confirmation match what you intended. If they do not, cancel and try a different code or continue manually.

They should not be read as a promise that every platform, region or server exposes the same controls.
How to find a usable community design
Start with a preview, not an unexplained code
A listing that shows the creator’s preview gives you a way to judge the design before opening the editor. Prefer a readable code attached to a clear image and a description of what the submission contains. If the listing shows only a code with no preview, you cannot tell whether a mismatch comes from the code, the client or a different styling setup.
Use independent directories with the right expectations
AniimoShare is a fan directory, not an official repository. Its pages can help you discover designs and copy data, but submissions may be removed, updated or incompatible with your client. Treat the directory as a source of community examples rather than a support channel for the game.
Interpret forum reports as anecdotes
The Reddit discussion Aniimo character face code thread? shows players asking for shared looks and discussing codes. One participant reports a server-related limitation. That single user report cannot establish a universal server rule, so verify the behavior in your own client before concluding that imports are blocked everywhere.

Troubleshooting Face Code and QR imports
The import option is missing
- Confirm that you opened the character editor rather than a general profile or wardrobe screen.
- Look for alternate labels such as face data, sharing or import instead of relying on one exact menu name.
- Check the current client’s own notices and confirmation screens. Independent guides do not establish that the feature is present on every platform or in every region.
- If no import control appears, use a preset and manual editing; the absence of a visible option does not justify installing an external tool or assuming a hidden file path.
The code will not decode
- Re-enter a text Face ID exactly, including capitalization or separators if the client expects them.
- For QR input, use the original, uncropped image with enough contrast for the scanner to distinguish the modules.
- Ask for a fresh copy from the creator if the code was copied from a compressed screenshot or an old post.
- Try another listing. A failed decode may indicate damaged data rather than a problem with your account.
The preview does not match the shared image
- Compare the face separately from hair, outfit and accessories; the reference may include styling that is not contained in the facial data.
- Check whether Face Blend or later manual edits were applied after the original code was created.
- Confirm that you are using the same client context where possible. The available sources do not provide a supported platform or server matrix, so identical results cannot be assumed across contexts.
The imported design cannot be saved
- Read the confirmation screen for a requirement or charge that applies to your current action.
- Check whether the client allows the imported result to be edited before saving.
- Cancel rather than accepting an unexpected result, then reproduce the look manually if the import remains unavailable.
A code worked before but no longer works
Shared data can become stale when the client changes, a creator replaces a listing or a community post is edited. Record the source and date of a code that matters to you, and keep a screenshot of the final appearance so you have a manual fallback.
Costs, requirements and what is actually known
No physical product is required for the described task. The relevant actions take place in Aniimo’s digital character editor and use appearance data, a text code or a QR image. You do not need a special controller, printed item or hardware accessory simply to create or import a face.
A fixed current price is not established by the available guides. The amount, if any, may depend on whether you are creating a new character or changing an existing appearance later. An import should not be treated as automatically free. The only safe way to know what your action costs is to read the confirmation shown by your current client immediately before saving.

Choose manual editing when control matters most
Use the editor directly if you have a specific personal design, want to change only one feature, need a result that does not depend on another player’s post, or cannot verify a code’s origin. Manual work takes longer, but every visible change is under your control and you can refine the design immediately.

Use an import when you already have a previewed design you like and the current client offers the relevant control. It is most useful for reproducing a community look or using a known starting point. Keep the preview and confirmation steps in the process; a code is a shortcut to a starting design, not a guarantee of an identical final character.
Use a hybrid workflow for the best balance
Import a suitable design, inspect which categories transferred, then manually correct the face, makeup, hair, outfit or accessories that do not match your goal. This preserves the time savings of a code while restoring the control that makes manual editing valuable.
What the available documentation does—and does not—confirm
Aniimo Character Creation: Presets, Face Data & Appearance describes presets and appearance categories. The Face Blend explanation at Aniimo Eggs describes combining preset features and refining them. The import guides at Aniimo Help and AniimoDex describe Face ID or QR concepts and an “Import Face Data” route, but AniimoDex says the official sources it reviewed did not document a transferable code, file path, complete import process or supported-platform matrix.
That documentation gap does not prove that the current client lacks importing. It means the client’s own menus and confirmation screens take precedence over any static guide. Check those screens each time you create or change a character, especially after an update.
Bottom line: speed versus control
Manual editing is the dependable default: start with a preset, use Face Blend if helpful, refine the face and details, then finish the hair, outfit and accessories yourself. Face Codes and QR imports can save substantial reconstruction effort when a working option is exposed and the shared design is suitable, but they carry compatibility and freshness risks. Preview before applying, verify what transferred, and accept only what the current client confirms.
