The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission’s October 13, 2022 recall applies specifically to ANCHEER model AM001907: a black 26-inch bike with a water-bottle-shaped cylindrical battery. The CPSC says the model number appears on the packaging and in the instruction manual, not on the bicycle itself. The recall notice does not establish that the current low-step listings discussed above are included.

The CPSC’s notice reported about 22,000 units, six incident reports involving fire, explosions, or sparks—including four reports of burn injuries—and sales from January 2016 through June 2022 for $280–$930. Those figures describe the recalled AM001907 and the notice’s stated period; they are not evidence that all ANCHEER bikes are affected.

Because the price label does not identify a precise bike, use the model/SKU as the starting point for any comparison. Check the exact listing for battery capacity and location, motor rating, claimed speed and range, included accessories, and current price; then verify the manual and model-specific safety information. Treat stated range and compliance as manufacturer claims unless independently substantiated.
