The package is for Windows; check AMD’s model-specific ROCm 10.1 compatibility matrix for your exact GPU, operating system, and driver combination before installing.
What AMD released
AMD’s release notes, titled “AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition for ROCm 10.1 Driver Release Notes,” are dated October 5, 2026. They identify the Windows package as Adrenalin driver version 26.10.41.05, with Windows Driver Store version 32.0.31041.5005. AMD describes ROCm 10.1 support and directs users to ROCm documentation after the driver is installed. The phrase “dedicated ROCm driver” is shorthand: this is an Adrenalin Edition Windows driver package associated with ROCm support, not the whole ROCm software stack. Read AMD’s release notes.

Which Radeon GPUs are listed?
The release notes name these compatible product families:

- Radeon AI PRO R9700 Series
- Radeon RX 7900, RX 7800, RX 7700, and RX 7600 Series
The compatibility matrix provides model-level listings, including Radeon RX 9070 XT, RX 9070 GRE, RX 9070, RX 9060 XT and other RX 9000 models; and RX 7900 XTX, RX 7900 XT, RX 7900 GRE, RX 7800 XT, RX 7700 XT, RX 7700, and RX 7600. It also includes Radeon AI PRO and Radeon PRO families. A family name alone does not establish support for every product: AMD cautions that compatibility can vary with the specific GPU or APU. Confirm your exact model in the ROCm 10.1 matrix.
#1 Best Overall
- Axial-tech fans now feature a smaller fan hub that facilitates longer blades and a barrier ring that increases downward air pressure
- 2.5-slot design allows for greater build compatibility while maintaining cooling performance
- 0dB technology lets you enjoy light gaming in relative silence
- Dual BIOS switch lets you toggle between Quiet and Performance BIOS profiles
- Dual ball fan bearings last up to twice as long as sleeve bearing designs
Which Windows versions are supported?
The release notes specify Windows 11 version 21H2 and later, and Windows 10 64-bit version 1809 and later. AMD also says operating-system support varies by Radeon product, so these minimums should not be treated as a guarantee for every listed GPU. Verify the OS and driver row for your exact card in the compatibility matrix before installation.
How to check your configuration and install
- Identify the exact GPU model. Use the model name, not just the RX 7000 or RX 9000 family label.
- Check the matrix. Match your GPU with your operating system and AMD driver version in AMD’s compatibility matrix.
- Install the Windows driver package if your configuration is listed. The release notes identify Adrenalin 26.10.41.05 as the ROCm 10.1 driver package.
- Continue with ROCm setup documentation. AMD’s release notes say, “After installing the driver package above, proceed to the ROCm documentation”. Consult the ROCm 10.1 installation guide for the broader stack and its applicable installation route.
That guide outlines multiple methods, including package-manager installation for Linux, amdgpu-install for Radeon and Ryzen, pip, tarball, and runfile. The Windows Adrenalin package is therefore not a universal ROCm installation method; use the route and components documented for your system.

What the announcement does—and does not—establish
The announcement establishes compatibility listings, not a performance result. AMD’s cited pages provide no benchmark or quantified speed improvement for ROCm 10.1, so the driver announcement alone is not evidence that an application will run faster. If you already own a GPU and configuration listed in the matrix, the compatibility news does not imply that you need to buy another card.
