Amazon’s current Prime Big Deal Days roundup lists the Kindle Colorsoft Kids at up to 30% off—not 50%. The offer runs during the October 6–7, 2026 event, with deals scheduled through 11:59 p.m. PDT on October 7. Amazon’s pages reviewed do not establish a 50% discount on Kindle devices.
Which Kindle deal has Amazon confirmed?
Amazon’s current Prime Big Deal Days deal roundup says the Kindle Colorsoft Kids is “now up to 30% off.” That is the clearest Kindle-specific discount in Amazon’s current offer information. “Up to” is a maximum, not a promise that every configuration or listing receives the full discount; check the price shown for the exact item in your Amazon store.

Amazon’s early-deals page separately says select devices and bundles are up to 45% off and names a Kindle Colorsoft Essentials Bundle. That is a selected-device and bundle promotion, not evidence that a standalone Kindle is 45% off. Neither page substantiates a general “up to 50% off Kindles” claim.
When does the sale end?
Amazon says Prime Big Deal Days runs October 6–7, 2026. Its live roundup says offers run through 11:59 p.m. PDT on October 7, though individual listings can change or sell out. Verify the live product page before buying.

How to check whether a Kindle deal is right for you
- Check your country’s Amazon storefront. Prices and eligible offers vary by region; a deal reported in one country does not establish the price in another.
- Match the exact model and generation. Amazon announced a redesigned 2026 Kindle family, including basic Kindle, Paperwhite, and Colorsoft options. Its announcement covers Australia and New Zealand, so do not assume its local availability or prices apply in the US.
- Compare like with like. Check whether the listing is for a Kids or standard edition, a base or Signature model, or a bundle rather than a standalone reader.
- Read the live price and reference price on the listing. The deal roundup does not provide a stable cross-country price table, so use the actual listing in your region rather than extrapolating a discount from another model or market.
Do older and new Kindles have the same discounts?
No single discount applies across every model or country. In an October 2, 2026 report, TechRadar described UK discounts on older Kindle models, while reporting that newly introduced 2026 models were at full price there and that US discounts on those new models had not appeared at the time. That is a dated snapshot, not a guarantee of today’s prices; check the current listing for your location.
