Amazon’s October Prime Big Deal Days coverage reported discounts on MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac mini and Mac Studio models. But “biggest price cuts yet” is a deal-publisher characterization, not a guarantee that every Mac is at its lowest historical price—or that a reported price is still available. The examples below were reported on October 5–6, 2026; check the Amazon listing and checkout total before buying.
What the reported Mac deals include
Macworld said Amazon’s October Prime Big Deal Days ran October 6–7, 2026. Its deal guide and coverage from MacRumors and 9to5Mac described discounts across Apple’s laptop and desktop lines. The prices are dated reports from deal publishers, not confirmed live offers from Apple or Amazon.

| Reported configuration | Reported price and reference | Source and date |
|---|---|---|
| 13-inch M5 MacBook Air, 16GB memory, 512GB storage | $1,099, reported as $200 off $1,299 | MacRumors and Macworld, 2026; Macworld guide updated October 6 |
| 15-inch M5 MacBook Air, 16GB memory, 512GB storage | $1,299, reported as $200 off $1,499 | MacRumors and Macworld, 2026 |
| M6 Mac mini, 16GB memory, 256GB storage | $779.99 from $899 in MacRumors’ October 5 report; $769 in October 6 reports | MacRumors, October 5; Macworld and 9to5Mac, October 6 |
| M5 Max Mac Studio, 36GB memory, 512GB storage | About $2,300 from $2,499 | MacRumors, Macworld and 9to5Mac, 2026 |
| 14-inch M5 MacBook Pro, 16GB memory, 1TB storage | $1,839 from $1,999 | Macworld, 2026 |
| 16-inch M5 Pro MacBook Pro, 24GB memory, 2TB storage | $2,749 from $2,999 | Macworld, 2026 |
| 14-inch M5 Pro MacBook Pro, 24GB memory, 2TB storage | $500 reduction reported; a specific reference price was not stated in the cited 9to5Mac report | 9to5Mac, October 6, 2026 |
These are not interchangeable configurations. In particular, the two MacBook Pro offers differ in screen size, chip tier and storage, so their prices should not be compared as if they were the same machine. The mini price reports also conflict: the $779.99 figure appeared in MacRumors’ October 5 article, while Macworld and 9to5Mac reported $769 on October 6. A live listing is the only way to establish the current price.

How to judge the discount claims
The reported reductions compare a deal price with a stated reference price. That arithmetic does not establish that the offer beats earlier sale prices or represents the best value for a particular buyer. Macworld reported that Apple raised Mac prices in June 2026 and framed the sale as a way to offset some of those increases, while noting that sale prices may not match earlier lows.

MacRumors, Macworld and 9to5Mac use historical-price language such as “all-time low” or “best prices we’ve seen.” Treat those as the publishers’ assessments, not as a universal price-history guarantee. Deal pages also disclose affiliate relationships, and neither those reports nor the figures here establish current stock, the Amazon seller, checkout terms or return conditions.

Choose by workload and configuration, not just markdown
- MacBook Air: A portable laptop option in the reported 13- and 15-inch M5 configurations. Decide whether the smaller or larger display and the listed 16GB/512GB setup suit your day-to-day use.
- MacBook Pro: The cited offers cover different screen sizes and chip tiers. Confirm the exact chip, memory and storage on the listing; a discount on one Pro configuration is not evidence that another is similarly priced.
- Mac mini: A compact desktop, not a laptop. The cited M6 offer has 16GB memory and 256GB storage; factor in your need for a display and other peripherals when considering the total setup.
- Mac Studio: A desktop in the higher-end M5 Max family, with the cited configuration at 36GB/512GB. A lower price alone does not make it a better fit than a laptop or mini for your workload.
Check the offer before placing an order
- Open the current Amazon listing and match the model, chip, screen size, memory and storage to the configuration you intend to buy.
- Check the price shown for that exact configuration, then confirm the final checkout total. Do not rely on an older deal article’s price.
- Review the seller, stock status, delivery details and return terms on the listing; the cited deal coverage does not establish these for a current order.
- Compare the live price with the publisher’s dated reference and, if price history matters to your decision, treat claims such as “all-time low” as that publisher’s characterization.
