Amazon advertises a DEWALT 20V MAX brushless drill-and-impact-driver combo kit at up to 28% off; that is a promotional claim, not a verified price-history result. The event is scheduled for October 6–7, and offers may expire at any time.
What Amazon says is on sale
Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days deal roundup names selected power-tool offers from DEWALT, CRAFTSMAN, and Bosch at up to 40% off. That maximum applies across selected products from all three brands; it does not mean every DEWALT product is 40% off.

The roundup also highlights a DEWALT 20V MAX brushless combo kit with a drill and impact driver, advertised at up to 28% off. The cited summary does not identify a specific model number, live listing, or full kit configuration, so check the product page before relying on the percentage or assuming which batteries, charger, or accessories are included.

How to judge a DEWALT kit offer
A discount percentage alone cannot establish that a listing is a clearance deal or a good buy. Before purchasing, compare the exact listing with the tools and accessories you need:
- Model and tool functions: Confirm the model number and whether the kit contains the drill and impact driver you expect.
- Battery platform and contents: Check the included battery count and capacity, charger, and other accessories. Do not assume a kit’s contents from the product-family name.
- Seller and availability: Review who is selling the item and whether it is in stock; these details can differ between listings.
- Total current price: Check the amount due at checkout, including any applicable delivery costs, rather than relying only on a crossed-out price or discount badge.
- Price context: Compare the current listing with its own price history and other retailers if you want to know whether it is unusually low. The cited event coverage does not establish a historical low or a comparison with competing sellers.
What earlier DEWALT offers do—and do not—show
Popular Science reported early DEWALT offers before the October event, including kits and individual accessories. That reporting provides context that offers appeared ahead of the sale, but it does not confirm that any early price is still live during Prime Big Deal Days.

Are these clearance prices?
That description is not established by the cited information. Amazon’s advertised “up to” figures are promotional claims; they do not verify a product’s price history, stock status, or whether the price is lower than at other retailers. Treat a listing as a potential deal only after checking its current configuration, seller, availability, and price against a meaningful comparison.
