The title’s original five picks can’t be verified, so it would be misleading to recreate them. For U.S. shoppers checking Amazon’s October 6–7, 2026 Prime Big Deal Days, one currently reported offer is the Echo Dot Max at $80, with a listed $40 saving. Confirm the live price, stock, and exact model before buying; sale offers can change quickly.
Which Prime Day sale is this?
Amazon’s June Prime Day and October Prime Big Deal Days are separate events. This article concerns the U.S. October Prime Big Deal Days sale, which Kiplinger described as a 48-hour event ending October 7, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. PDT. Its guide also described deals across more than 35 categories. Check the live event page for the current end time and availability.

Amazon’s official June 2026 page said deals could drop as often as every five minutes during select periods and warned, “All deals and availability are subject to change.” That statement applies to Amazon’s June event page, not a confirmation of October offer timing. Amazon’s Prime Day deals page
One October offer to check
Amazon Echo Dot Max
WIRED listed the Amazon Echo Dot Max at $80 with a stated $40 saving in its October 7, 2026 deal coverage. That is a publisher-reported offer, not an independently verified price-history analysis, and it is not established as one of the unidentified five products in the original roundup. Check the live Amazon listing before purchase: WIRED’s October Prime Big Deal Days deals.
#1 Best Overall
- Amazon.com Gift Cards never expire and carry no fees.
- Multiple gift card designs and denominations to choose from.
- Redeemable towards millions of items store-wide at Amazon.com or certain affiliated websites.
- Available for immediate delivery. Gift cards sent by email can be scheduled up to a year in advance.
- No returns and no refunds on Gift Cards.
How to tell whether a deal is worth buying
- Check the price history. A sale badge or stated saving does not establish that the item is at its lowest recent price.
- Compare other retailers. Amazon is not automatically the cheapest seller during Prime Day, as Woman & Home notes in its October deal guide.
- Verify the exact model. Confirm the product name, generation, size, and included accessories match what you intended to buy; similar listings can refer to different versions.
- Buy for a need, not the discount. Decide whether you wanted the item before seeing the sale price, then compare its current cost with your alternatives.
Why the five original picks aren’t listed
The exact five products and their prices in the headline’s original roundup are not verified. June deal lists and October guides from other publishers cover different events and recommendations, so substituting their products would wrongly attribute picks to the original article. The Echo Dot Max above is a separately reported October example, not a reconstruction of that list.
