Moneycontrol reports that the Apple iPhone 16 will have an effective price of ₹71,999 during Amazon’s Great Indian Festival 2026, ₹17,901 below the ₹89,900 listed price for Apple’s unlocked 128GB model in India. That is an offer-dependent effective price, not a guaranteed amount for every buyer. Amazon says the sale starts October 8, 2026; its official announcement includes iPhone 16 among the deals but does not confirm the reported price.
What is the reported iPhone 16 sale price?
Moneycontrol reported on October 6, 2026, that the iPhone 16 would be available for an effective ₹71,999 during the sale. The ₹17,901 difference is calculated against the ₹89,900 listed price for Apple’s unlocked 128GB iPhone 16 in India. Moneycontrol says the effective price includes applicable offers, including a bank discount, so the saving depends on which offers a customer qualifies for. Moneycontrol’s price report is the source for the ₹71,999 figure; Amazon has not independently confirmed that amount in its cited sale announcement.

When does the Amazon sale start, and what offers are announced?
Amazon India announced that the Great Indian Festival 2026 begins October 8, one day after the date of this article. Its announcement says the sale includes iPhone 16 and lists general festival offers: a 10% instant discount on eligible SBI card and EMI transactions, and up to 10% extra savings for Prime members. These are general sale terms, not confirmation that every offer applies to this phone or that the discounts can be combined for a particular order. Amazon’s sale announcement does not publish an iPhone 16 sale price.

How to check your actual checkout price
- Open the iPhone 16 listing when the sale begins and confirm the storage capacity, colour, seller, stock status and displayed price. Amazon’s announcement names the handset but does not establish those live listing details.
- Review the offer terms on the listing. Check whether your SBI card or eligible EMI transaction qualifies and whether the Prime-member offer applies to this product and your account.
- Proceed to checkout and check the final amount after any eligible offers. Do not assume the reported ₹71,999 is an automatic price available to every customer.
How the Amazon offer compares with Apple’s listed price
Apple’s India store lists an unlocked 128GB iPhone 16 at ₹89,900. Apple says an unconnected iPhone purchased from Apple is unlocked and can be used with a network that supports iPhone. This is an official reference price and purchase option; it does not establish Amazon’s seller, stock or deal terms. Apple’s India iPhone 16 listing provides the listed price.
