The Great Indian Festival is Amazon.in’s seasonal sale covering smartphones, electronics, fashion, beauty, home, kitchen and everyday essentials. Amazon’s 2026 announcement says the event opened to all customers on October 8, 2026. The sale uses several promotion types rather than one universal discount: bank offers, no-cost EMI, exchange offers, Amazon Pay Later and additional savings for Prime members.

The sale itself is open to all Amazon.in customers
Amazon’s 2026 event announcement describes the sale as open to all customers. That means a Prime membership is not required simply to browse or buy festival products. Prime can, however, unlock additional savings or delivery benefits on particular offers, so non-Prime and Prime shoppers may see different effective prices or delivery estimates.
Eligibility is attached to each offer
A shopper qualifies only when every condition of a specific promotion is met. Typical conditions can include the exact card network and issuer, credit versus debit, EMI tenure, minimum transaction value, an eligible product or seller, a discount cap, or a requirement to select a particular payment option. The fact that a product appears in the festival does not make every payment offer apply to it.

Amazon India’s 2026 festival material advertises a 10% instant discount on eligible SBI credit-card and debit-card transactions, as well as eligible credit-card EMI transactions. Prime, EMI, Pay Later and exchange routes

Do not assume that two promotions stack. Some combinations are permitted, while others are mutually exclusive. The checkout breakdown should show the actual discount, exchange credit, taxes, delivery charges (if any) and amount payable.

How to check the exact terms on a product
- Choose the seller and condition. On the product page, check whether the listing is new, renewed or another condition, and note the seller name and rating information shown by Amazon.
- Set your delivery location. Enter your PIN code or use the “Deliver to” location control. Delivery speed and sometimes offer eligibility change by address.
- Open every relevant offer panel. Review bank discounts, coupons, EMI, exchange and Prime wording rather than relying on the headline price.
- Test the payment method. Add the item to the cart, select the qualifying card or financing option, and check the order summary. A discount that is not reflected there should not be treated as confirmed.
- Read seller, warranty and return text. These details can vary between sellers offering apparently identical models.
- Save the final order details. Keep the confirmation showing the price, seller, delivery estimate and return or replacement language in case the listing changes later.
How fast is festival delivery?
Amazon’s event material describes a broad range: some products may arrive in minutes or a few hours, while others qualify for same-day, next-day or Prime delivery. Amazon India also reported more than 1 million products available for same-day delivery and more than 4 million for next-day delivery in its 2026 announcement. Those are network-level figures, not a promise for an individual order.
Amazon Now and rapid delivery
Amazon says Amazon Now was available to millions of customers in more than 60 cities at the time of its live-sale article. Coverage is location-specific and can change. In the shopping app, enter your PIN code and look for the Amazon Now or rapid-delivery option on an eligible item. If the option is absent, your address, the item, inventory or operating hours may not qualify.
Use the item-level estimate
The useful delivery answer is the date or time window displayed after you set your address. Check it again in the cart and checkout, especially when combining items from different sellers or warehouses. A fast estimate can change if stock sells out, the seller changes, you alter the quantity, or you select a different payment or delivery option.

- Check whether the estimate says “order within” a particular time; missing that cutoff can move the date.
- For urgent purchases, avoid assuming that every item in a multi-item cart shares the fastest date.
- After payment, use the order page’s tracking estimate rather than the original festival banner.
Can you return Great Indian Festival purchases?
There is no single event-wide return window established for every Amazon.in product in the available 2026 consumer information. Return, replacement, refund and non-returnable rules remain item- and category-specific. The listing’s policy and the option shown on your order page govern your purchase.
Check before ordering
- On the product page, find the “Returns” or “Return policy” section near delivery and seller information.

Keep the invoice, packaging, accessories, serial-number labels and photographs of visible damage until the issue is resolved. For exchange purchases, the old device’s inspection and handover conditions are separate from the new item’s return policy; verify both before accepting the exchange.
How to compare smartphone deals without being misled by the headline discount
Smartphones are a featured festival category. Amazon’s own smartphone coverage names the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra, iPhone 16 and OnePlus Nord 6 as examples, but it does not establish a permanent festival price or guarantee stock for any of them. Compare the complete transaction, not the largest percentage printed in a banner.

The advertised discount is missing
Recheck the card type, minimum spend, selected seller and payment method. Remove conflicting coupons or switch from EMI to a normal transaction if the terms require it. If the offer still does not appear in the final total, do not assume it will be credited later.

The exchange amount fell at pickup
Compare the inspection result with the condition questions you answered. Record the revised value before handing over the old device. If the new price no longer works for you, follow the cancellation or rejection choices shown in the exchange workflow rather than accepting an unexpected total.
The delivery date changed
Open the order’s tracking page and check for an updated estimate, address issue or inventory delay. Contact support through the order if the parcel is late or the tracking status does not progress. The original sale banner cannot override the order-specific estimate.
No return button is available
Read the order page’s policy reason first; the item may be non-returnable, replacement-only or outside its stated period. For damage, wrong-item or missing-part claims, keep all packaging and submit the issue through the order’s support flow as soon as possible.

Does the October 8 opening date mean the sale ends on a fixed date?
Not necessarily. The 2026 announcement gives the opening date, but the material does not establish one universal closing date for every promotion. Individual deal cards can disappear earlier because of time limits, stock or seller participation.

Are the delivery statistics a guarantee for my address?
No. The figures reported by Amazon India describe the size of its same-day and next-day network. Your listing’s estimate after entering the PIN code is the relevant commitment.
Can a business-account offer be applied to a normal consumer order?
Do not assume so. Business purchasing pages can have separate bulk, GST and account conditions. Consumer shoppers should rely on the terms displayed on their Amazon.in consumer listing and checkout.
Where should I look if a product’s return terms are unclear?
Check both the product-page return section and the return option under Your Orders. If they conflict or the option is unavailable, use Amazon’s current customer-help or order-support route before sending the item anywhere.
