Amazon’s Prime Big Deal Days offered two Ember TVs at lower prices in the UK: the 43-inch Ember 4-Series was reported at £229, down from £429, and the 55-inch Ember Mini-LED at £599, down from £849. Those were sale prices reported on October 6, 2026, for a sale running October 6–7; check Amazon UK for current price and stock before buying.
Which Amazon Ember TV was the better deal?
The 43-inch Ember 4-Series had the bigger percentage discount: T3 reported it at £229 instead of £429, a saving of £200 (47%). The 55-inch Ember Mini-LED was reported at £599 instead of £849, £250 off (29%). The Mini-LED costs £370 more at those sale prices, but it is a larger, higher-specification screen. These figures describe the temporary UK sale reported by T3 on October 6, 2026—not a guaranteed current price. T3’s deal report

Both price and saving figures are those reported by T3 on October 6, 2026, for the UK sale scheduled to end October 7. The report does not establish that either offer remains available afterward.
What is the difference between the Ember 4-Series and Mini-LED?
Ember 4-Series: lower cost and a simpler spec
The 43-inch 4-Series is the budget-oriented choice. T3 lists 4K resolution, HDR10+, a 60Hz refresh rate and HDMI eARC. It does not support Dolby Vision. A 60Hz panel may also be a limitation for next-generation gaming, particularly for players seeking higher refresh rates. HDMI eARC can connect a compatible soundbar, but the report does not test or recommend a particular audio product.

Ember Mini-LED: larger, brighter and more gaming-focused
The 55-inch model pairs Mini-LED backlighting with QLED colour and supports both Dolby Vision and HDR10+. T3 reports a 144Hz refresh rate and describes it as the brighter, more gaming-capable option. Those are specifications and positioning reported in a deal article, not the result of an independent head-to-head picture-quality test.
In practical terms, prioritize the 4-Series if the lower price and 43-inch size meet your needs. The Mini-LED is the more feature-rich choice if you want a larger screen, wider HDR-format support and the reported higher refresh rate.

What should you check before buying?
- Current price and stock: The reported Big Deal Days offers were time-limited and the stated sale ended October 7, 2026. Confirm the live Amazon UK listing rather than relying on the dated deal price.
- Room and viewing distance: Compare the 43-inch and 55-inch sizes against your available space; the price difference also buys a larger display.
- HDR formats and gaming: Check which formats your films and games use. The 4-Series lacks Dolby Vision and is listed at 60Hz; the Mini-LED supports Dolby Vision and HDR10+ and is reported at 144Hz.
- Connections: T3 identifies HDMI eARC on the 4-Series. Check the exact listing or manufacturer documentation for the ports and connection details that matter to your devices.
- Apps and catch-up services: T3 says the TVs use Fire TV and names UK catch-up channels, Netflix and Disney+ as services accessible through the interface. Availability can vary by model and service, so confirm compatibility for the exact television and your region.
Are other budget TVs worth comparing?
T3 points to Xiaomi, TCL, Hisense and Haier as alternatives and describes the TCL C7K as its usual high-end-but-affordable choice. That is a useful shortlist for checking current sizes, prices and specifications, not a tested comparison proving one brand or model is better. Compare like-for-like screen size, display/backlight type, HDR support, refresh rate and connections before deciding.

Why is Amazon putting more emphasis on Fire TV?
Amazon’s own explanation is that televisions are a growing part of its Fire TV business. In an official Fire TV article, Daniel Rausch, Amazon’s vice president of Entertainment Devices and Services, said: “Televisions are the fastest growing segment in the Fire TV business. When customers love something, we double down.” This is Amazon’s corporate statement, not an independently measured statistic about Ember sales or television-market growth. Amazon’s Fire TV article
