To monitor the Amazon Buy Box, start with the Featured Offer percentage in Seller Central’s Business Reports, then check the listing’s price, stock, shipping, delivery promise, and Pricing Health when the share drops or the offer disappears. Amazon now calls the Buy Box the Featured Offer. Its percentage measures page-view exposure—not sales, a guaranteed win, or a permanent status.
What Amazon’s Featured Offer percentage tells you
Amazon Seller Central defines Featured Offer percentage as the page views in which your offer is featured divided by the total page views for your products. It helps show how often shoppers saw your offer featured on product detail pages. It does not tell you how many of those shoppers bought, or whether your offer will be featured for every shopper.

A change in the percentage is a signal to investigate, not a diagnosis. Price, availability, delivery, shipping, and customer experience can all matter. Amazon also says the displayed offer can vary with the product variation, shipping location, Prime context, and delivery-date filters.

Use the Seller Central baseline
Amazon points sellers to Featured Offer percentage in Business Reports. Check the relevant report for your products and record the percentage over time; a single reading cannot show whether a change is brief or persistent. Amazon’s guidance on Becoming the Featured Offer describes the metric and current US eligibility guidance.

Keep a useful listing log
For each observation, record enough context to compare like with like:
- ASIN and variation
- Date and time checked
- Your offer price, including shipping
- Stock or availability state
- Promised delivery date or delivery window
- Featured Offer status or percentage, where available
- Customer location, shipping destination, and relevant delivery or Prime context, if known
Where possible, compare observations made under the same location and delivery context. Amazon says offer placement depends in part on the customer’s shipping address, and the visible offer may differ across contexts. Do not treat one shopper’s view as universal.
Investigate a drop or disappearance
- Confirm the ASIN and variation being checked; a different variation may show a different offer.
- Compare your current total price, including shipping, with the offer conditions visible in the same customer context.
- Check inventory and whether the offer is available and shippable.
- Review the delivery promise and whether shipping is free; a faster or more certain delivery can affect selection.
- Inspect Pricing Health and address any issues shown there.
- Check the Featured Offer percentage again over time and under a consistent location or delivery context before concluding that the change is broad.
Why did I lose the Featured Offer?
There is no single price threshold that guarantees selection. Amazon’s US offer-placement guidance identifies price, availability, and the customer’s shipping address as factors; its more detailed Featured Offer guidance also discusses total price, delivery promise, free shipping, and customer experience. A lower item price by itself does not guarantee the Featured Offer. See Amazon’s Offer placement guidance for its US scope.

As of September 2026, Amazon’s US help guidance says a seller eligibility requirement is no longer a prerequisite for Featured Offer evaluation: offers may be evaluated, but individual offers may still not be selected when they are not competitive. Amazon may show no Featured Offer if none of the offers meets customer experience requirements. Amazon announced a gradual global rollout beginning in July 2026 and completing by year-end, so this US policy statement should not be assumed to describe every marketplace at the same date. Check the current guidance for the marketplace you sell in.
Can Automate Pricing monitor or win the Buy Box?
Amazon says Automate Pricing can adjust prices in real time within parameters sellers set. It is a price-automation tool, not a monitoring guarantee or a promise that an offer will win the Featured Offer. Set sensible boundaries and continue reviewing stock, shipping, delivery promise, and Pricing Health; automated price changes cannot resolve every factor that affects offer selection.
When is third-party monitoring useful?
Seller Central’s Featured Offer percentage is the appropriate starting point. Consider an additional monitoring service only if it fills a specific operational gap, such as alerts, a longer change history, broader ASIN or variation coverage, customer-location checks, or stock and delivery signals. Before paying, verify which of those capabilities the service actually provides, how often it checks, and whether repricing is optional or automatic. No monitoring tool can guarantee the Featured Offer.

No. It is the share of page views for your products in which your offer was featured, according to Amazon Seller Central.
