The advertised Amazon discount of up to $500 on Apple products is not verified by the available information, so shoppers should not treat it as a confirmed current offer. The related deal roundup was published on March 23, 2026, and its listed MacBook discount was $50—not $500. Its prices are historical, not live October 2026 deals.
What the reported Apple sale actually shows
A March 23, 2026, Tom’s Guide roundup covered an Amazon spring preview sale with AirPods, iPads, MacBooks and other Apple products. It documented these prices at the time; they do not establish what Amazon charges or has in stock now.

| Product and configuration | Price in the March 23, 2026 article | Listed former price | Listed reduction |
|---|---|---|---|
| AirPods 4 | $99 | $129 | $30 |
| Apple Watch 11, GPS, 42 mm | $299 | $399 | $100 |
| 11-inch iPad Air M4, 128GB, Wi-Fi | $559 | $599 | $40 |
| 13-inch MacBook Air M5 | $1,049 | $1,099 | $50 |
| 15-inch MacBook Air M4, 256GB | $949 | $1,199 | $250 |
| AirPods Max | $449 | $549 | $100 |
| Apple AirTag four-pack | $63 | $99 | $36 |
These are the roundup’s historical prices, not verified current Amazon offers. It described some newer-product markdowns as modest and said the deals were not the lowest prices previously seen. The listed reductions therefore do not support the headline’s claim of a discount “up to $500.”
How to check whether an Amazon discount is real
Before buying, compare the exact product and configuration in the listing—not just the product family name—and verify what you will pay at checkout.
#1 Best Overall

- Perfect for App Store purchases and subscriptions—get apps, games, music, movies, TV shows, and more.
- The perfect gift to say happy birthday, thank you, congratulations, and more.
- Available in $15 - 500, Card delivered via email or SMS
- Use it for purchases at any Apple Store location, on the Apple Store app, apple.com, the App Store, iTunes, Apple Music, Apple TV, Apple News+, Apple Books, Apple Arcade, iCloud+, Fitness+, Apple One, and other Apple properties in US only
- Open the Amazon listing and confirm the model or generation, screen size, storage, connectivity, and included accessories match the product you intend to buy.
- Check the current price and the reference price shown on the listing. Treat a displayed “was” price as a comparison point, not proof that the item recently sold for that amount or that the deal is unusually good.
- Review the seller and stock status on the specific offer you plan to purchase. A product page can have more than one offer, and the seller or availability can change.
- Calculate the dollar reduction from the current price and the stated comparison price, then compare that amount with the advertised maximum. Do not assume every item in a sale has the maximum discount.
- Recheck the listing immediately before placing the order. Price and inventory can change, and the March 2026 roundup cannot confirm an October 2026 offer.
What is not confirmed
No live Amazon listing in the available evidence establishes which Apple products are discounted now, their current prices, seller details, or stock. The reported “up to $500 off” maximum is also unsubstantiated. A current deal roundup would need a fresh check of each listing and configuration before stating exact prices or savings.
