The reported $89.99 Amazon deal is for closeout first-generation AirPods Pro—not AirPods Pro 3. Deal coverage on October 4, 2026, also put AirPods Pro 3 at $179 ahead of Prime Big Deal Days, scheduled for October 6–7. These are dated price reports, not confirmation of today’s Amazon inventory; check the live listing before buying.

Apple lists AirPods Pro 3 at $249 in the U.S. The gap between that list price and a deal price can help put an offer in context, but a discount against list price does not by itself make a listing the best value. Prices can move quickly: Macworld’s October 2 roundup had an earlier $234 snapshot for Pro 3.

How to choose between the $89.99 and $179 offers
Consider the first-generation closeout only after checking the listing
The lower reported price is for an older generation. Before ordering, confirm that the product is actually first-generation AirPods Pro and inspect the seller, condition, and included charging case. A low price is less compelling if the listing’s condition or included accessories do not suit you.

AirPods Pro 3 add features Apple lists for the current model, including heart-rate sensing during workouts, hearing-health features, Live Translation, a redesigned fit, and up to eight hours of listening with Active Noise Cancellation. That listening figure is Apple’s stated specification, not a guarantee for every use pattern.

Live Translation requires a compatible Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone running iOS 26 or later, and language and regional limits apply. Hearing Test and Hearing Aid availability depends on authorization and varies by region. Check Apple’s current product information and your device and region compatibility before treating these features as a reason to choose Pro 3.
Check the listing before you buy
- Model: Make sure the listing names the generation you intend to buy; do not read the $89.99 report as a Pro 3 price.
- Seller and condition: Review who sells the item and whether it is new, used, or otherwise described as a closeout.
- Case and contents: Confirm which charging case is included, particularly for the first-generation offer.
- Price and stock: Verify the amount shown at checkout and whether the listing is still available. Deal coverage is a snapshot, not live inventory confirmation.
- Other retailers: Compare current offers elsewhere. Amazon is not necessarily the cheapest retailer, and relative prices can change between reports.
AirPods Pro 3 box contents and charging cable
Apple says the AirPods Pro 3 package includes the earbuds, a MagSafe Charging Case with USB-C, silicone tips in five sizes, and documentation. Apple explicitly notes: “AirPods Pro 3 do not include a USB‑C Charge Cable or power adapter.” Compatible USB-C cables and power adapters can be used, so check whether you already have one before buying an extra.
