The official Steam product listing describes endless enemy hordes, Spawners that generate enemies, build choices, a Legendary Slot Machine, bonus stages and controller support. The listing places the planned release in Q4 2026, so systems, balance and availability can still change before launch.

The practical implication for a beginner is that this is not a fixed-level action game in which one memorized route wins every time. Each run asks you to make decisions while enemies accumulate, objectives appear and the arena becomes harder to navigate. Your build determines how efficiently you clear threats, but your positioning determines whether that build gets time to work.
The run loop: prepare, grow, control the arena
Choose starting items before entering
Starting items establish your first damage profile and your ability to handle the opening wave. Favor options that cover different jobs instead of stacking several effects that solve the same problem. A crowd-clearing effect can keep paths open, while a focused attack gives you a way to pressure a Spawner or boss. The final item pool and costs have not been published, so use the roles below rather than looking for a specific launch recipe.

Complete objectives and collect growth
During a run, objectives provide direction while growth lets your character scale. Move through safe gaps to collect growth rather than waiting in one corner for it to drift toward you. The official descriptions frame a time limit and rising boss pressure as part of the escalation; delaying collection leaves you weaker when the run becomes most demanding.
Find the source of the pressure
Spawners continuously summon enemies. When a Spawner is creating a dense pack, route toward it or attack it instead of clearing only the enemies immediately around your character. Removing the source reduces future pressure; leaving it alive can make every later movement decision more expensive.
Use the level-up choice as a correction
Random choices will not always produce the weapon or growth effect you wanted. Read each level-up as a chance to correct the run: add missing crowd control, improve focused damage when a Spawner is becoming a problem, or take survivability when your movement room is shrinking. A theoretically stronger effect is not useful if it cannot be deployed safely.
Build around roles, not a single “best” weapon

A healthy early build normally has at least one reliable way to clear ordinary enemies, one way to damage priority targets and enough mobility to reposition. If a level-up offers a powerful damage effect but your character is already boxed in, a movement or defensive choice can produce more real value than the larger damage number.

Early playtest characters: use their roles, not their names
An early developer playtest listed three playable characters: Slot Man, Lizard Man and RocketPang. These are test-era options; the final roster and balance are not confirmed. If they remain available, compare them by how they address the five questions that matter in a run: movement and survivability, damage against Spawners and bosses, crowd clear, dependence on favorable slot-machine rolls and performance in alternate-rule stages.

Upgrade priorities for a first run
1. Secure a movement baseline
Keep enough mobility to avoid being surrounded. Jump, dash and sprint are not cosmetic additions to a stationary survival formula; the developer describes them as part of the game’s expanded structure. A movement option is especially valuable when an arena fills with projectiles or a Spawner creates a new pocket of enemies behind you.
2. Add dependable crowd clear
Your first damage upgrades should make ordinary enemies less able to close every escape lane. Area coverage, piercing behavior or another effect that reaches several targets at once can be more useful than a narrow attack early in the run. The exact properties of launch weapons remain unconfirmed, so judge the result on screen: does it open space, or merely increase numbers against a target you cannot safely approach?
3. Add focused damage before boss pressure peaks
Once you can keep a path open, invest in a way to damage Spawners and bosses efficiently. A run can look comfortable while the horde is small and then collapse because a Spawner remains active during the time-limit escalation. When choosing between two comparable upgrades, favor the one that shortens the time you must spend near a priority target.

4. Take growth when it does not endanger the run
Growth options accelerate later power, but they are not free. Take one when you have enough space and damage to survive the next interval; skip or delay it when your current position is already failing. Reaching a stronger future build has no value if the present wave removes you first.

5. Add recovery after identifying your weakness
Defensive or recovery choices are most useful when they answer a demonstrated problem: repeated contact damage, inability to cross projectile patterns or a route that closes whenever a Spawner activates. Avoid collecting abstract defense while ignoring the specific threat that is killing you.
How to use the Legendary Slot Machine
The official store description says a jackpot can make the player up to 18× stronger. The developer explains that the machine appears on level-up and that a saved spin can be used for a revive after death. Those two uses create a real trade-off: immediate power may prevent a death now, while a saved spin can restore a run after a fatal mistake.
Spend the spin when it changes the immediate situation
- Use a spin when the current upgrade is likely to prevent a death in the next wave.
- Use it when the additional power lets you destroy a Spawner that is generating an unmanageable pack.
- Use it when a boss or time-limit escalation is imminent and ordinary upgrades will not mature quickly enough.
Save the spin when the run is unstable but recoverable
- Hold at least one spin when you can still move and collect growth, but a later mistake could end the run.
- Save it when your build is adequate and the next level-up is not an urgent damage check.
- Preserve the revive option when you are learning a stage or an unfamiliar mode and do not yet know its danger pattern.
There is no published optimal spin schedule. The 18× figure is a stated maximum, not a guaranteed outcome or a promise that every spin produces the same multiplier. Treat luck as a multiplier on a sound plan, never as the plan itself.
A step-by-step plan for surviving the first runs
- Before the run, cover two damage jobs. Select starting items that give you a way to clear groups and a way to pressure a durable target. If the available choices do not provide both, prioritize the option that keeps movement lanes open and plan to correct the missing role at the first level-ups.
- Move immediately when enemies begin to accumulate. Use jump, dash and sprint to avoid standing inside a closing ring. Short, deliberate direction changes are safer than one long sprint that carries you into another pack.
- Collect growth along a safe route. Do not chase every pickup through a dense group. Clear a lane, pass through it, then return for growth when the route is open.
- Watch for Spawners. When a new wave appears faster than your crowd-clear tool can remove it, identify the source and route toward it. Destroying the generator reduces future pressure and often creates more room than fighting the summoned enemies one by one.
- Use level-ups to repair the build. Add crowd clear if ordinary enemies are closing every gap, focused damage if a Spawner survives too long, or mobility if you are taking contact damage while trying to collect growth.
- Prepare for boss and time-limit escalation. Before the expected pressure window, position yourself where you have at least one open escape direction and avoid spending your only emergency resource on a minor threat.
- Make a deliberate slot-machine decision. Ask whether a spin prevents an imminent death or Spawner failure. If not, retain the spin for a revive.
- After a failed run, change one variable. Note whether the cause was blocked movement, inadequate crowd clear, slow Spawner damage or an unlucky roll. Adjust that role on the next attempt instead of replacing every choice at once.
Movement and positioning fundamentals
Keep an exit lane
Do not let enemies surround you on all sides. Move along the edge of a safe opening and keep one direction available for a dash. If you always run toward the largest empty area, you can accidentally funnel yourself into a new wave; scan for the next escape lane before committing.

Use mobility to cross danger, not to wander
Jump, dash and sprint should solve a positioning problem: crossing a gap, escaping a projectile pattern or reaching a Spawner. Random movement wastes cooldowns and can leave you without an answer when the arena closes.
Approach Spawners on your terms
When a Spawner must be destroyed, clear a narrow approach first, then attack while preserving a retreat route. If the area is already saturated, circle to a safer angle rather than charging through the center of the horde.
Recover after a mistake
A weak roll does not automatically end a run. The developer’s stated philosophy is that skill can save a failed build, while an overpowered build can carry less precise play. When a choice is poor, stop seeking a perfect replacement and concentrate on movement, a safe growth route and the next Spawner.

Adapting to a harsher mode
In a mode with stronger enemies or reduced margin for error, keep a defensive escape option and reserve the Legendary Slot Machine for a genuine survival check. A damage-only plan is less reliable when one collision can end the run.
Adapting to a bonus-stage objective
If the objective changes, let it change your route. A stage that rewards reaching a location or surviving a short burst may favor mobility over maximum sustained damage. Re-evaluate the five comparison axes—survivability, priority-target damage, crowd clear, slot-machine dependence and alternate-stage performance—rather than assuming the standard stage build is universal.

The listing confirms controller support. A controller is optional, not a required purchase. Analog movement can make fine positioning easier, while dedicated inputs for jump, dash and sprint may reduce mistakes during crowded fights. If you use a controller, verify that each movement action is easy to reach without releasing your movement stick.
What is still unknown before launch
The final weapon pool, upgrade costs, character roster, balance values and launch availability remain unresolved in the available official information. The early playtest dates were September 9–30, 2026, and its characters and modes should therefore be treated as provisional. No independent review score or player-performance benchmark is available; the Steam page reports no user reviews.
That uncertainty changes how to prepare. Learn the decision framework—mobility, crowd clear, Spawner damage, growth timing and slot-machine risk—rather than memorizing a build that may be renamed or rebalanced.
