What the Apex Distro Plate Y70 does
A distro plate provides a visible route for coolant through a custom loop while also acting as a reservoir. Alphacool’s Y70-specific plate mounts at the front of the case in place of its front cover, using the case’s original screws and mounting bracket. The manufacturer lists an acrylic construction, chrome-plated brass G1/4 fittings and integrated aRGB lighting. See the black product listing and white product listing for current variant details.

Each listing describes eight G1/4 connections, a fill port, a drain port and an approximately 372 ml maximum filling volume. The plate is meant to connect to a custom water-cooling loop; those ports do not mean the other loop components are supplied.

Which HYTE cases fit?
Alphacool specifies compatibility exclusively with the HYTE Y70 and HYTE Y70 Touch Infinite. It is designed as a replacement for the front cover and uses the original mounting points. Do not assume it fits the Y60, another HYTE model or a different case because it appears to have similar dimensions. Confirm the exact case model before ordering.

What is included—and what you still need
The plate includes the reservoir and integrated lighting, but Alphacool explicitly says a pump is not included. Its product copy refers to D5/VPP and DDC pump formats, while the technical information is not consistent about DDC support. If you intend to use a DDC pump, check the current manual or datasheet for the exact color variant before buying.
Plan the rest of the loop separately. Depending on your build, that can include a pump, radiator, CPU and/or GPU water blocks, tubing, compatible G1/4 fittings and coolant. Alphacool does not prescribe one universal loop layout; port use and routing depend on the components and configuration you choose.

Black and white versions: verify the specifications
Both colors are listed, but the published technical tables disagree on some important mechanical and pressure figures. The values below are what each listing reports, not a reconciled specification. Check the latest color-specific documentation and your available clearance before relying on them.

The depth and pressure figures differ between the listings; do not treat one as applying to both colors. Confirm dimensions, pressure limits and pump fit with Alphacool’s current documentation for the specific variant you plan to install.

Lighting, fittings and coolant guidance
The product listings describe 11 digital aRGB LEDs powered at 5 V. The black listing also reports 3.3 W and 0.06 A; check the selected variant’s current specifications and your motherboard or controller’s lighting connection requirements before wiring it.
Alphacool says the two-piece fittings use an O-ring and are not screwed directly into the acrylic, a design intended to reduce cracking-related leak risk. That is the manufacturer’s stated design rationale, not independent comparative testing.

For coolant, Alphacool instructs users to choose clear, transparent water-cooling fluid. It warns that particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog or permanently damage loop components. Follow the manufacturer’s guidance and check coolant compatibility across every component in your loop.

- Verify that your case is a HYTE Y70 or Y70 Touch Infinite.
- Choose black or white, then confirm that variant’s current dimensions and clearance in your build.
- Confirm pump format against the current variant manual or datasheet, especially if using DDC; budget for a pump because none is included.
- Map the loop around your radiator, blocks, tubing and fittings, and confirm the planned connections are compatible with G1/4 ports.
- Choose coolant with Alphacool’s clear-fluid guidance in mind.
- Check current regional price, stock and warranty terms on the product listing; these can change.
Alphacool’s product pages link to a manual, but the available product information does not establish a universal step-by-step installation procedure or installation time. Follow the current manual for your variant rather than assuming a sequence or tool list.

Is it the right choice for your build?
The Apex Distro Plate Y70 is a purpose-built option if you have one of the two listed cases and want a front-mounted reservoir and coolant-routing feature in a custom loop. It is less straightforward if you have not selected a compatible pump, need to confirm tight clearances, or expect a complete kit. There is no comparable test data in the product information to rank cooling performance or installation ease against other plates.
Alphacool announced the plate on 2026-09-24. The announcement also mentions a VPP/D5 pump sealing cap for an unused pump position, but does not establish that the cap is included with the plate. The product listings state a three-year warranty; check the terms that apply in your region before purchase.
