Totenreich has six Cursed Mode relics across the Grim, Sinister and Wicked tiers. Each relic adds a permanent drawback to a run after you unlock it, and every unlock is tied to a specific quest, round gate and trial rule. The Wrestler’s Belt is now solved: its trigger requires 18 separate 50-kill counters, or 900 minimum direct kills.

How relic unlocking works
Relics are Cursed Mode modifiers, not ordinary map collectibles. Completing a relic’s trial unlocks it for later Cursed Mode runs. Progress is run-based: the guide’s current instructions say it is not saved between sessions, so avoid saving and quitting during a multi-stage chain. If a quest has a required order, treat that order as mandatory; an incorrect sequence can soft-lock the run.

Grim relics
Power Switch
Power Switch is available from Tier 1 at round 20 or later. Its quest combines a randomized code puzzle with a trap-only combat test.

- Bring a scoped weapon and inspect the four deer-skull statues. Record the number shown at each statue; the values reroll every game, so a memorized order will not work.
- Match each number to the corresponding bear rug in Blodheim Hall.
- Throw Combat Axes (tomahawks) at the rugs from the fewest heads to the most.
- Enter the green portal that opens and survive three waves. During this trial, only fire traps can damage enemies; gunfire, melee and other damage sources do not count.
Wrestler’s Belt — solved October 16, 2026
The Wrestler’s Belt is no longer an unsolved relic. COD Central marked it FOUND on October 16, 2026, in a guide updated that day. The trigger is 18 counters: 17 Totenreich wall-buy weapons plus the Jotunn Star, with 50 direct kills required for each. That is a minimum of 900 qualifying kills. COD Central also reported that the relic was solved 169 days after Totenreich launched.

- Start the Jotunn Star quest and reach the lighthouse, but collect the Mr. Peeks magazine before taking the wonder weapon. The magazine starts the hidden counters.
- Purchase each of the 17 wall-buy weapons and earn 50 direct kills with each one.
- Earn another 50 direct kills with the Jotunn Star.
- Do not substitute Mystery Box weapons, loadout weapons, equipment, field upgrades or ammo mods; their kills do not advance these counters.
- When all counters are complete, use the portal beside the Arsenal in Eidskallen Square.
- Enter the trial and budget Essence between waves. Your weapons are removed at the end of each wave, so plan the next purchase before the following wave begins.
In June 2026, Treyarch said the belt was “not bugged and never was.” That statement predates the October solution but explains why the counter-based trigger was treated as intentional.
Sinister relics
Stuffed Elephant
The Stuffed Elephant quest has the strictest preparation restriction: reach round 40 without buying or receiving a perk from any source. That includes perk machines, GobbleGums, T.E.D.D. rewards, Mr. Peeks eggs and random drops.

- Enter the portal and shoot the four fixed Mr. Peeks eggs at Skallen Market, Storm Bridge, Dry Dock and Beacon Island.
- Kill the high-value target spawned by each egg. The extra time awarded by the HVT kills lets you finish the complete set.
Dancing Arnie
Dancing Arnie requires a five-ingredient soul-feeding setup and then removes weapon damage from the trial. The ingredient order matters: put the Chilly Chunks into the pot before building the Jotunn Star, or the run can be locked out.

- Carry the pot from Skallen Market to Blodheim Hall.
- Add ale from Eidskallen Square.
- Add Chilly Chunks from Storm Bridge.
- Kill a Necropincer with the Flammenfalle trap to obtain the lobster, then put it in the pot.
- Catch the red fish during a later Special Round and add it.
- Build the Jotunn Star only after the Chilly Chunks step is complete.
- Feed Mr. Peeks Jotunn Star melee kills until he laughs. That laugh is the practical confirmation that the soul requirement has completed.
- Use the portal above Pack-a-Punch on Fishery Island and clear all five waves with melee attacks only.
Published guides disagree on the exact soul count (about 75 versus about 100) and on whether the fish appears at round 39, 40 or 41. The dependable approach is to continue melee feeding until the laugh and treat a round-40-or-later Special Round as the safe fishing target.

Wicked relics
Agarthan Device
Agarthan Device requires Tier 2 or higher Cursed Mode and the Richtofen operator. The main Easter Egg must already be complete. Its trial uses round-60-strength enemies and allows damage only while you are indoors.
- Play as Richtofen in Tier 2+ Cursed Mode after finishing the main Easter Egg.
- Search the randomized secret rooms for the Mr. Peeks figurine, helmet and walkie-talkie.
- Buy Melee Macchiato directly from its machine; do not rely on another acquisition method.
- Complete the Richtofen side quest.
- Place all three secret-room items on the throne.
- Do not save and quit during this chain.
- Enter the six-wave trial. Stay indoors whenever dealing damage; HVT bears appear on waves 3 and 6.
Music Box
Music Box opens at Tier II and round 60 or later. Its setup uses a specific weapon position, while the trial itself consists of six timed lockdowns and critical damage only.

- At round 60+, obtain the Shadow SK from Tyr’s Shoulder.
- Use it to score five critical kills through the bay window at Tyr’s Head. The guide reports disagreement over whether the kills must be consecutive; Mr. Peeks’ laugh is the reliable completion signal.
- Enter the red portal in Dry Dock.
- Complete the lockdowns in sequence: Fishery Island, Tyr’s Foot, Dry Dock, Beacon Island, Eidskallen Square and Skallen Market.
- During the relic effect and trial, enemies can be damaged only with critical hits, so aim for weak points and allow enough time for each lockdown.
Planning, failure risks and best order
- Track run state: because progress is not saved between sessions, complete long chains in one session whenever possible.
- Protect irreversible gates: avoid every perk source before round 40 for Stuffed Elephant, and add Chilly Chunks before constructing the Jotunn Star for Dancing Arnie.
- Carry the right preparation: a scope is needed for Power Switch, tomahawks for its rug puzzle, the Jotunn Star for Dancing Arnie and Wrestler’s Belt, and a direct Melee Macchiato purchase for Agarthan Device.
- Respect trial damage rules: Power Switch permits traps only; Dancing Arnie permits melee only; Agarthan Device permits damage indoors only; Music Box permits critical damage only.
- Expect resource pressure: Wrestler’s Belt removes weapons between waves, while Music Box imposes six timed locations and Agarthan Device uses high-round enemy strength.
- Use confirmation cues: Mr. Peeks’ laugh is the practical confirmation for Dancing Arnie’s feeding step and Music Box’s critical-kill setup.
For a lower-risk progression, begin with Power Switch, then attempt Wrestler’s Belt once you can sustain the 900-kill tracking task. Save the no-perk Stuffed Elephant and the high-round Wicked trials for runs where you can protect the required conditions from accidental pickups, missed counters or premature exits.
