Fortnite’s Extraction Gizmos help you find, extract, or improve Sprite rewards. Epic’s original roster had three: Portable Extractor, Lucky Locator, and Extraction Site Booster. A September 21, 2026 guide reports six items for Chapter 7 Season 4, but Epic has not published a complete current-season roster in the sources available here. Treat those seasonal items and routes as reported, and check the live Gizmo Wheel and quests before relying on them.
What Extraction Gizmos do
Epic describes Extraction Gizmos as consumables that provide shortcuts or boosts for Sprite extraction. Access them through the pickaxe slot and Gizmo Wheel. The original roster and the later seasonal list are not the same: the first is Epic’s three-item set, while the six-item list below comes from a dated secondary guide.

Epic’s original three Extraction Gizmos
Portable Extractor
Extracts the Sprite you have equipped from anywhere on the island, according to Epic’s v41.00 update notes. Epic says Gizmos can generally be earned through Bonus Goals quests, Sprite Dust, and Sprite Mastery progression; it does not establish a current item-specific route for this Gizmo.
Recommended Free Tools
Lucky Locator
Tracks a buried chest guaranteed to contain a Sprite you have not collected yet. Epic introduced it as an upcoming item in its v41.20 update notes, following the earlier launch roster. The notes do not establish a current guaranteed acquisition route; the September 2026 guide reports Sprite Mastery rewards.
#1 Best Overall
- GILDED TROOPER: Board the Battle Bus and drop in with Fortnite Legendary Skull Trooper (Gilded)!
- FORTNITE: 6-inch action figure is inspired by the video game Fortnite
- ARTICULATED: Feature 28 points of articulation to win any Battle Royale
- ACCESSORIES: Comes equipped with Back Bling and Harvesting Tools
- BONUS CODE: Code for virtual item included: Mecha-jolly
Extraction Site Booster
Calls a special Extraction Crate at an Extraction Site. The crate boosts any Sprite extracted there and draws other players’ attention. Epic’s v41.20 notes add that the boosted crate grants bonus Sprite Dust and may contain several support items. This is useful when you want a stronger extraction, but the visible site can invite a fight.
Chapter 7 Season 4: six items reported by a September 2026 guide
Beebom’s guide, updated September 21, 2026, lists the following six items and routes. Its article is inconsistent: the list and FAQ say six, while its tier-list introduction says five. Epic’s August 20, 2026 Override announcement confirms that Season 3 Sprites continue in Sprite Garden and Sprite Dust can be spent on Loot Hacks, but it does not provide a complete Gizmo roster. Treat these as dated reported routes, not official or guaranteed current drops.
| Gizmo | Reported effect | Reported ways to get it |
|---|---|---|
| Portable Extractor | Extracts an equipped Sprite from anywhere on the island; Beebom reports a five-second use time. | 2,500 Sprite Dust at an Extraction Site; Daily Quests; Wrixel Ziggy Quests; Sprite Mastery rewards; Admin Panel code O2Override. |
| Cheat Code Locator | Reveals a nearby Cheat Code, with a chance of Legendary rarity. | 1,500 Sprite Dust at an Extraction Site; Daily Quests; Wrixel Ziggy Quests; Sprite Mastery rewards; codes FindItChat and SurviveTheNight. |
| Extraction Accelerator | Calls an Accelerated Crate quietly and quickly for a less conspicuous extraction. | Daily Quests; Sprite Mastery rewards; code TakeYourHeart. |
| Spicy Taco | Restores health and grants movement-speed and stamina boosts. | Sprite Mastery rewards; code PerfectOrder. |
| Llama Supply Drop | Calls a supply drop containing loot and a God Mode Llama. | Wrixel Ziggy Quests; Sprite Mastery rewards; code O2Override. |
| Lucky Locator | Marks a buried Sprite Chest guaranteed to contain an undiscovered Sprite. | Sprite Mastery rewards. |
These details, costs, and codes are reported by Beebom’s September 21, 2026 guide, not confirmed as a complete live Epic list. The guide’s quest schedule is date-sensitive, so use the in-game quest list and Gizmo Wheel to see what is actually available to you.

Where to get more Gizmos
Epic’s general guidance is to earn Gizmos through Bonus Goals quests, trade in Sprite Dust, or progress Sprite Mastery. For seasonal items, the September 2026 guide additionally reports Daily Quests, Wrixel Ziggy Quests, item-specific Sprite Dust purchases, Sprite Mastery rewards, and Lobby Hack codes. Because daily rewards and codes may change or disappear, check the live quests, Sprite Dust terminal, and code interface rather than assuming a listed route still works.
Season, mode, and inventory rules
Epic’s v41.20 notes said Gizmos were available only in unranked Battle Royale and Zero Build at that time. That is a historical rule from the earlier Runners period, not confirmation of Chapter 7 Season 4 eligibility; check the current mode selection screen.
- Gizmos cannot be traded or dropped when you are eliminated.
- Your Gizmo inventory persists for the season and expires when that season ends.
- Check the expiry timer in the Battle Royale mode-selection screen or Gizmo Wheel.
These inventory rules are set out in Epic Games Support and its v41.00 notes.
