In Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4: Override, three activities are reported to have a chance to drop a random Exotic: the Duck Race north of Heatwave Harbor, the Mega Maze Vault, and the Tetris Tower Rift Anomaly. None guarantees an Exotic or a specific weapon. For a particular item, the September 18, 2026 location guide recommends trying whichever activity is closest to your drop.
Where to find the reported Exotic drops
The locations and steps below come from AllThingsHow’s guide, updated September 18, 2026. Treat them as guide-reported for Override rather than as independently confirmed Epic drop locations.

Duck Race north of Heatwave Harbor
- Land at the Duck Race north of Heatwave Harbor and start the race.
- Wait for the ducks to reach the finish line south of the point of interest. An Exotic may drop when they finish.
Mega Maze Vault
- Enter the maze and shoot the moving Braziers to earn a Vault Key.
- Take the key back to the main building and open the vault.
- Check the Rare Chests inside; one may produce an Exotic.
Tetris Tower Rift Anomaly
- Find the Tetris Tower, which appears at a random location on the map each match.
- Climb to the summit and activate the rift to receive one random Exotic along with additional rewards.
Which Exotic weapons are reported in the pool?
The same September 18 guide names five entries and describes their effects. It says any of the three activities can roll any of these items; it does not provide drop rates or establish that the odds are equal.

Epic’s v42.20 update notes confirm Rebecca’s Guns as a new weapon and mention an Exotic version with ricocheting bullets. The notes do not independently confirm the complete five-item pool or all of the effects listed above.

Which activity should you try first?
There is no sourced comparison of drop rates or completion times, so none can be called objectively fastest or most reliable. Since the guide says each activity can roll the same pool, use map proximity as the practical choice: try the nearest source rather than travelling to a supposed guaranteed spawn. The activities differ in what you do—finish a race, solve the key-and-vault route, or climb to and activate a rift.

Epic’s v42.00 notes introduce Chapter 7 Season 4: Override and cover seasonal gameplay, weapons, and Override mechanics. Its v42.20 notes mention Rebecca’s Guns and describe Tetris Tower as a mid-match objective that can appear around the Island. These official notes provide season context, but do not verify the three Exotic sources or the full pool.

Epic’s October 1, 2026 Fortnitemares update notes list other weapons, Loot Hacks, and vault changes without confirming whether these Exotic sources or the named pool changed. That silence does not prove the details stayed the same. If you are playing on a patch later than the September 18 guide, check in-game or consult a newer official Battle Royale loot update before relying on the list. Epic’s Override season announcement points players to Community Update Notes for full weapon, balance, and bug-fix detail.
