You roll them in the Traits area by selecting a weapon and interacting with Matilda. For most combat builds, community guides point to Deadeye or Supernova; Fortune is the specialist choice for farming; Vitality helps when survival is the bottleneck; and the Power, Swift, and Focus tiers are useful progression rolls.
The exact odds, effects, Auto Reroll controls, and stat caps are version-sensitive. What traits do in Anime Zero
Anime Zero, the Roblox experience identified by an independent guide as published by LY* (place ID 114574503491412), uses traits as additional stats on individual weapons. A trait does not appear to be a character-wide passive in the community descriptions: rerolling is performed for the currently selected weapon, so the weapon you have highlighted is the one at risk of losing its current trait.

To change a trait, players are reported to visit the Traits area and interact with Matilda. The interface can offer a manual reroll or an Auto Reroll mode. Because both the controls and the displayed values can change with patches, treat the live client as the final authority. The October 5, 2026 guide discussing the October 4 patch and the October 9 table do not establish an official, permanent specification.

Complete community-reported trait list
The following 18 entries and displayed chances come from the October 9 table on the Anime Zero [SHADOW MONARCH] Wiki, updated October 10, 2026. A separate Anime Zero Wiki page reviewed October 10 repeats the principal effects. “Chance” is the value shown by that guide; it is not a guarantee over a fixed number of rolls.
| Trait | Displayed chance | Reported effect |
|---|---|---|
| Deadeye | 0.01% | +20% damage, +5% crit chance, +50% crit damage |
| Supernova | 0.01% | +24% damage, +12% cooldown reduction, +20% attack speed, +3 walk speed |
| Sniper | 0.04% | +12% crit chance, +15% crit damage, +8% attack speed |
| Ferocity | 0.04% | +18% damage, +8% cooldown reduction, +14% attack speed, +2 walk speed |
| Overkill | 1% | +40% crit damage |
| Razor Focus | 1% | +13% crit chance |
| Hunter | 1.83% | +10% damage, +5% cooldown reduction, +10% attack speed, +1 walk speed |
| Power III | 4.21% | +8% damage |
| Swift III | 4.21% | +12% attack speed, +1 walk speed |
| Focus III | 4.21% | +10% cooldown reduction |
| Vitality | 7.66% | +25% maximum health |
| Power II | 8.42% | +6% damage |
| Swift II | 8.42% | +9% attack speed, +1 walk speed |
| Focus II | 8.42% | +7% cooldown reduction |
| Fortune | 12.63% | +25% coins, +20% EXP, +20% drop rate |
| Swift I | 12.63% | +6% attack speed, +1 walk speed |
| Focus I | 12.63% | +4% cooldown reduction |
| Power I | 12.64% | +4% damage |
These numbers should be read together with the date and attribution. No developer patch note or verified live panel was available to confirm the October table, and the two community pages disagree on some cap details. If your in-game panel differs, use the panel rather than this older snapshot.
How to compare a trait instead of chasing its name
Look at the complete bonus package
A trait with one large number is not automatically better than one with several smaller bonuses. Damage, attack speed, cooldown reduction, movement, critical chance, critical damage, health, and economy stats affect different parts of a run. Compare the stats your weapon and the rest of your loadout do not already provide. A second source of the same stat can be less valuable than a missing stat that changes how often you attack or cast.
Separate chance from outcome
The displayed chance is the reported probability for one roll, not a promise that the trait will appear after a certain number of attempts. The two rarest entries in the table are each shown at 0.01%, while Sniper and Ferocity are each shown at 0.04%. Those figures explain why a useful lower-tier roll can be the rational stopping point when reroll currency is limited.
Check interactions and caps
Critical damage only matters on attacks that actually crit, so a critical-damage trait should be evaluated with your current crit chance. Conversely, adding crit chance to a build that already reaches a practical ceiling may give less benefit than damage or speed. A community report after the four-slot update describes a 60% crit-chance cap and a 40% cooldown-reduction cap. Another October 5 page reports a 275% crit-damage cap. Because those claims are not reconciled and may refer to different versions, do not treat any one cap as authoritative without checking the current statistics screen.

Choosing the best trait for your goal
General combat and boss damage
Community guides most often recommend Deadeye or Supernova as long-term combat targets. Deadeye concentrates on damage and critical performance, making it attractive when your weapon already attacks often enough to exploit critical hits. Supernova spreads value across damage, cooldown, attack speed, and movement, so it can improve both output and the time needed to reposition or start the next action.
Ferocity and Sniper are practical alternatives when the top two rolls do not appear. Ferocity is a broad offensive package with speed and cooldown support. Sniper leans toward a critical-focused setup. Hunter is a strong progression result because it combines several moderate combat bonuses without requiring an ultra-rare roll. Power, Swift, and Focus tiers can also carry a weapon through early and mid progression; do not discard a functioning weapon merely because it lacks a mythic-looking name.

Outbyte PC Repair FREEClear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Farming coins, experience, and drops
Fortune is the dedicated farming trait in the community list. Its reported bonuses affect coins, EXP, and drop rate at the same time. That makes it useful on a weapon used for repeated clears, but only when the weapon still completes the chosen stage reliably.
Measure farming by rewards per unit of time, not by the multiplier in isolation. If Fortune makes a run slower, causes deaths, or forces you to abandon a stage, the nominal bonus can be outweighed by fewer successful clears. Keep a combat-oriented weapon for difficult content and use Fortune on a farming weapon when your inventory and reroll supply support that split.
Critical-hit builds
Build critical stats as a pair. Deadeye and Sniper supply both sides of the equation, while Overkill emphasizes critical damage and Razor Focus emphasizes critical chance. Overkill is a poor fit for a weapon that rarely crits; Razor Focus can be more useful when your critical damage is already high and chance is the limiting factor. Check your actual character sheet after equipping the weapon rather than adding the trait’s label to a theoretical build.

Cooldown-heavy skills
Focus I, Focus II, and Focus III provide increasing reported cooldown reduction, while Supernova and Ferocity add cooldown reduction inside broader combat packages. Choose the smallest tier that solves your rotation problem when other equipment already supplies cooldown reduction. Stacking toward a reported cap can waste a reroll that would have improved damage, attack speed, or survivability.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Survival and difficult progression
Vitality is reported to increase maximum health by 25%. It is the straightforward choice when a character dies before finishing a stage, especially if damage is already sufficient. Surviving a complete run can be worth more than a theoretical damage increase that never has time to take effect. Once deaths stop being the limiting factor, reassess whether a combat or cooldown trait improves clear speed more.
Movement and attack cadence
Swift tiers add attack speed and, in the reported table, a small walk-speed bonus. They are useful when mobility, basic-attack cadence, or repositioning controls your clear time. Supernova and Ferocity also include speed-related bonuses, so compare the whole package rather than selecting Swift solely because its name suggests speed.
How to reroll a weapon safely
- Choose the weapon first. Select the weapon you expect to keep for a meaningful part of your progression. Community guides describe rerolls as applying to the selected weapon, so do not open the menu while a temporary weapon is highlighted.
- Inspect the current trait and balance. Read the weapon’s displayed trait, damage, attack pattern, and any other stats. Decide whether the current roll is already good enough for your next stage.
- Open the Traits area and interact with Matilda. Use the live interface labels; menu names and placement can move after updates. Confirm that the weapon shown in the reroll panel is the one you intended.
- Set a target before spending currency. Write down an acceptable stopping point, such as any combat package for a boss weapon, Fortune for a dedicated farming weapon, or Vitality when survival is the problem. Include a maximum number of rolls or a reserve for another weapon.
- Choose manual or Auto Reroll deliberately. The October 9 guide reports target selection for Auto Reroll and stopping safeguards on Legendary or Mythic traits. The October 5 guide also reports aimable trait pity and confirmation dialogs for some high-grade outcomes. These controls are community-reported and may not behave the same way in your current client, so read every confirmation and test the target setting with care.
- Keep the result that meets the plan. Do not continue automatically after receiving a useful progression trait unless the panel clearly shows that your chosen target is still being pursued. Extremely rare targets can consume all of your resources on a weapon you later replace.
- Recheck after the roll. Verify the trait text, the weapon selected, and your final stats. If the result is not what the panel displayed, stop rolling and capture the in-game wording before attempting more changes.
Where reroll resources are reported to come from
The October 9 guide lists codes, clears, and daily login rewards as reroll sources. The October 5 guide additionally describes trait-crystal drops from Story runs, quests, and achievements, with Story drop chances varying by difficulty. These reward schedules are volatile and were not confirmed by a developer announcement. A code or drop rate mentioned in an older guide may already have expired or changed.
- Check the current in-game reward descriptions before planning a stockpile.
- Treat code lists as temporary information and do not spend currency assuming a replacement code will arrive.
- Use daily rewards and routine clears to build a reserve for the weapon you intend to keep.
- When a Story difficulty has a different reported crystal chance, compare the expected successful clears you can complete rather than selecting a difficulty you cannot farm consistently.
Practical decision examples
| Situation | Reasonable target | Decision test |
|---|---|---|
| One weapon for bosses and general combat | Deadeye or Supernova; Ferocity, Sniper, or Hunter as practical stops | Does the combined package improve your actual clear time and rotation? |
| Dedicated repeat-farming weapon | Fortune | Do successful rewards per minute increase without failed or dramatically slower runs? |
| Crit-focused weapon with low crit frequency | Razor Focus, Sniper, or Deadeye | Is crit chance the limiting stat, or would more crit damage remain unused? |
| Crit-focused weapon that already crits often | Overkill, Deadeye, or another damage package | Are additional critical hits near the practical cap? |
| Long skill rotation | Focus tier, Ferocity, or Supernova | Does cooldown reduction change the number of casts in a real encounter? |
| Frequent deaths despite adequate damage | Vitality | Does the extra health convert failed attempts into completed clears? |
| Early progression with scarce rerolls | Power, Swift, Focus, or Hunter at any useful tier | Will keeping the roll save resources for a weapon you will use longer? |
Common mistakes and how to correct them
Rerolling a weapon you will replace
An ultra-rare trait has little practical value if the weapon is about to leave your loadout. Decide which weapon is your long-term investment before opening Matilda’s panel. Keep a useful lower-tier trait on temporary gear and reserve rare attempts for a permanent weapon.

Chasing rarity instead of performance
Deadeye and Supernova are community favorites, but rarity alone does not make a run faster. A Hunter, Power III, Swift III, or Focus III roll that fits your current build can outperform an awkward high-rarity package. Judge the weapon in the stage you actually farm.
Putting Fortune on a weapon that cannot clear
Fortune’s economy bonuses matter only after a successful run. If the weapon needs help to finish the stage, use a combat or survivability trait first and move Fortune to a separate farming weapon later.
Adding critical damage without enough critical chance
Overkill is an example of a stat that depends on another stat. Check the character sheet and combat results; if critical hits are infrequent, improve chance or general damage before adding more critical damage.
Ignoring overlap with other equipment
Cooldown reduction, attack speed, and critical chance may already be supplied by other slots. Before rerolling, note which stats are near their practical limits and select a trait that fills the largest remaining gap.
Trusting an old Auto Reroll instruction
Auto Reroll behavior, target selection, pity rules, and confirmation dialogs are reported differently across October 2026 community pages. Read the current controls every time you enable automation, confirm the selected weapon, and set a stopping condition you can afford.
Best Value
What is confirmed, and what can change
The consistent community description is that traits modify weapons and that rerolls operate on the selected weapon through the Traits area. The 18-name table and its percentages are maintained by fan sites, not presented here as an official developer list. The October 9 table and the October 5 post covering the October 4 patch provide useful snapshots, but they do not verify the live client on October 17, 2026.
Effect values, displayed odds, reward sources, pity behavior, Auto Reroll safeguards, and stat caps can all change with an update. Before a costly roll, compare the trait text and odds shown in your own panel. If the client and an older guide disagree, record the live wording and make your decision from that current information.
A concise rule for spending rerolls
Match the trait to the job of the weapon, account for the stats supplied elsewhere, and stop when the weapon clears its intended content reliably. Deadeye and Supernova are sensible community targets for a long-term combat weapon; Fortune belongs on a weapon that can farm successfully; Vitality is valuable when survival blocks progress; and the tiered Power, Swift, and Focus rolls are often good enough to preserve resources. The best trait is the one that improves your next real run without sacrificing the weapon you need to finish it.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are the listed trait chances official?
No. They are displayed values from community-maintained tables dated October 9 and October 10, 2026. Check the current Traits panel in Anime Zero before treating an odds figure as current.
Can a reroll affect the wrong weapon?
Community guides describe rerolls as applying to the selected weapon. Confirm the weapon shown in Matilda’s panel before every manual or automated roll.
Should I keep a useful lower-tier trait?
Usually, yes, when rerolls are scarce or the weapon is still progressing your account. Keep it until a replacement clearly improves the weapon’s intended job and you have set aside resources for future gear.
Are the reported crit and cooldown caps reliable?
They are not fully consistent across community pages. One report describes 60% crit chance and 40% cooldown reduction caps, while another cites a 275% crit-damage cap. Verify the live statistics screen for your current version.
