This route guide lists the collectibles by chapter, using the item names and landmarks in Julio La Pine’s October 1, 2026 guide for The Nerd Stash. It contains 36 chapter entries, but that is not a confirmed total of Act 3 pickups: the Chapter 6 entry for Commander’s Letter Home is directed to Act 4. Chapter 2’s listing for Erick Davis’s tags also has no location instruction.

Act 3, Chapter 1 — 5 listed collectibles

  1. COG Army Knife: After inspecting the first mauled body, turn left and look near a tree.
  2. Fairlight Rifle Range Sign: Hop the fence, turn right at the tank, and check the wall.
  3. Gut-Puncher Grenade Rounds: Look beside the first supply cache inside the airfield.
  4. UIR Soldier Shooting Target: Before the final part of the level, look to the left for the broken target.
  5. Prepper’s Scavenging Map: From the shooting target, turn right and look between two generator-like objects.

Act 3, Chapter 2 — 6 listed collectibles

  1. Damaged Gnasher Shotgun: After the opening cutscene, walk straight to a crate.
  2. Parchment and Powder Pouch: Look near Locust supplies and weapons.
  3. Parchment with Indecipherable Writing: After the train-station combat, look beneath the stairs on the right.
  4. COG Tags of Private Beth Avila: At the broken trains, look under the first train for the body and tags.
  5. Maintenance Worker’s Bloodied Flashlight: Take the route away from the tracks and follow the tunnel to its end.
  6. COG Tags of Private First Class Erick Davis: The source names this collectible but gives no location instruction, so its position cannot be determined from that guide.

Act 3, Chapter 3 — 14 listed collectibles

The guide describes this chapter as semi-open and says collectibles appear on the map.

  1. COG Tags of Sergeant First Class Robin Hamill: On the surface, find the large E-hole and the body.
  2. COG Tags of Corporal Tracy Moore: Enter the destroyed apartment on the way to the objective.
  3. Colonel Trench’s VIP List: At the outpost, check the tents on the right.
  4. COG Tags of Private Luis Garcia: After the fight outside the outpost, look behind it.
  5. Captain Grey’s Field Journal: At the next outpost, check the desk.
  6. Landa Memorial Hospital Evacuation Order: On the hospital’s first floor, check the front desk.
  7. COG Tags of Specialist Rachel Carnahan: Look on the hospital’s second floor.
  8. COG Tags of Private Terrance Sander: Search the building in front of the loading bay, where the civilian-defense side mission takes place.
  9. COG Tags of Private Oded Bay: Look at the bloody fountain where you were ambushed in Act 2.
  10. Locust Pistol Ammunition: Look near the bodies by the river.
  11. COG Tags of Specialist Bernard Havelock: Search inside the destroyed train car.
  12. COG Tags of Private First Class John Carnahan: Look outside a building on the way to the final objective.
  13. Damaged Heavy Locust Helmet: Outside the park during the side mission to find someone’s friend.
  14. Blade-like Projectiles: The guide says this requires the chapter’s final side mission, which triggers after the new flying enemy is defeated in the main quest.

Act 3, Chapter 4 — 3 listed collectibles

  1. COG Tags of Private Rudy Bartholomew: After the first encounter, take the left lane and backtrack to a body near a burning vehicle.
  2. Locust Crest: After the first bridge encounter, drop down and look for the Locust body near the police vehicle.
  3. COG Tags of Corporal Kevin Garbor: Look in the center of the control room.

Act 3, Chapter 5 — 5 listed collectibles

  1. A bottle of Iron Coast Beer: In the first apartment, check the room on the right for a body and bottle.
  2. Portrait of Chairman Jacob Monroe: After defeating the Wretches in the apartment hall, crawl through the hole on the left.
  3. Sanctum of the Fallen Memorial Ceremony Program: On the rooftops, look beside a planter.
  4. Locust Spiked Shoulder Pad: Continue toward street level and look for the Locust body.
  5. Explosive Bolt: Look at the top of the tower where the Locust with the Torque Bow were defeated.

Act 3, Chapter 6 — 3 entries listed, with an Act 4 mismatch

  1. Torn Flag of Tyrus: At the outpost, go to the far right beside a blocked tunnel.
  2. Morith Harbor Snow Globe: On a desk inside the gift shop during the boss chase.
  3. Commander’s Letter Home: Although listed under Chapter 6, the guide’s direction says to start Act 4 and turn left to find it by a truck. Treat its Act 3 placement as unconfirmed.

What the list does—and does not—confirm

The chapter subtotals in the guide add up to 36 entries (5, 6, 14, 3, 5, and 3). Because its own direction places Commander’s Letter Home in Act 4, that sum should not be read as 36 confirmed Act 3 pickups. The guide also leaves the Erick Davis tags without a location. The locations and caveats above come from one third-party guide and were not independently verified through gameplay.

The guide says chapters can be replayed if you miss an item; that replay claim is not independently confirmed here. For release context, Xbox’s official Gears of War: E-Day page lists October 6, 2026 as the global release date and Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC platforms.
