Third-party guides report 38 standard collectibles across Act 2 of Gears of War: E-Day: five in “Bravo Squad,” 27 in “Hold the Line,” five in “No Gear Left Behind,” none in “Fly Boys,” and one in “Overrun.” Xbox does not publish an Act 2 subtotal, so use the chapter totals in your War Journal to verify progress. The routes below follow guide-reported landmarks; a few disputed locations are identified as uncertain.
Act 2 collectible totals
This is the reported count for standard collectibles only. Guides track Hard Cases, Supply Caches, and Secondary Objectives as separate categories; do not add those to the collectible tally. The 38-item total and chapter distribution are reported by GamersBeacon’s October 2, 2026 guide and corroborated by CGN’s October 5, 2026 community checklist. They are guide-reported figures, not an official Xbox count.

How to check what you are missing
Open the War Journal and check the collectible tally for the relevant act and chapter. The community checklist says the journal lists chapter collectibles, including items not yet found, making the chapter count a practical way to narrow a search rather than replaying every area. Check it before leaving a chapter, especially after completing optional objectives.

Chapter 1: Bravo Squad — 5 collectibles
Search both bridge control rooms and the lower bridge route. Items in rooms are easy to pass while following the objective, so sweep the rooms before using their controls or leaving.

Chapter 2: Hold the Line — 27 collectibles
This is Act 2’s largest and least linear pickup area. It includes shops, apartments, alleys, streets, bridges, and optional objectives. A useful sweep order reported by the guides is opening streets and shops, the bank and nearby alleys, the warehouse district, Mags’ apartment, the hotel and shelter area, then any remaining side objectives. Check optional areas as you complete them; several pickups sit inside buildings or away from the main route.

- Thrashies Cereal Box: At a fuel-station store counter. Some guides spell the name “Trashies,” and they differ on which stop to check.
- Kalona Postcard: Near the train-station exit. Guides disagree whether it is in an alley or by a bench or plaza.
- Foreman’s Datapad: On the foreman’s body at the lowest level of the construction site.
- Vandalized Salvaging Poster: Its reported location is disputed: guides place it either in the Major Burger restroom or interior, or at a damaged building near the bank.

- Emgazi Blitz Display Case: In a bedroom in the same apartment building.

Achievement context
Xbox Wire’s September 9, 2026 achievement list says “Memories From E-Day” requires: “Find all Collectibles in the Campaign (any difficulty).” It does not specify an Act 2 count. The same list labels “The Scorched Legion,” “You Want What On the Front of a Gun?!,” and “Got to the Choppa” as achievements unlocked during Act 2. See the official Xbox Wire achievement list for the campaign-wide requirement.
