Tom’s Hardware reported on October 6, 2026, that Amazon’s Big Deal Days cut the Alienware AW3426DW to $629.99 and the AW2725DF to $469.99. The report described both as record-low prices, but the deals have not been independently verified as available now, and the record-low label was not checked against a price-history dataset. Check each live listing before buying.
The choice is mainly about screen format and refresh rate: the AW3426DW is a 34-inch, 3440 × 1440 ultrawide rated up to 280 Hz; the AW2725DF is a 26.7-inch, 2560 × 1440 16:9 display rated up to 360 Hz over DisplayPort. The 27-inch model is not automatically better—the right fit depends on the shape of screen you want, your desk, connection, and how you use your system.

The AW3426DW is the better match if you want the ultrawide format: its reported specifications are a 34-inch panel at 3440 × 1440 with a maximum refresh rate of 280 Hz. The extra horizontal space can suit games and desktop use that benefit from a wider view, but it requires a desk and setup that work with a wider display.

Tom’s Hardware also reported five-layer tandem technology and said its reviewer found the display accurate out of the box, with 105% DCI-P3 coverage after minor adjustments. Those are claims from that publication’s report; the available cited material did not include a Dell product page for this model.
Choose the AW2725DF for 16:9 and a higher maximum refresh rate
The AW2725DF is a conventional 16:9, 26.7-inch QHD monitor. Dell specifies 2560 × 1440 at up to 360 Hz over DisplayPort, while HDMI supports up to 144 Hz. If you want the higher stated refresh-rate ceiling, use the DisplayPort connection; the 360 Hz figure does not apply to HDMI.
Rank #2
- QD-OLED technology enables stunningly rich color and clarity, while QHD resolution (2560x1440) provides high level of detail.
- 360Hz refresh rate translates to superb motion clarity, empowering players to see and react to in-game situations at high speed.
- 0.03 ms gray-to-gray minimum response time** virtually eliminates blurring and ghosting and keeps latency to an absolute minimum.
- Infinite contrast ratio and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 make for deep blacks and stunning brights, all in the same scene.
- Excellent color performance with DCI-P3 99.3% color coverage and Delta E<2 accuracy for true-to-life visuals.
Dell lists a typical gray-to-gray response time of 0.03 ms. It also lists three-year Advanced Exchange Service and Premium Panel Exchange coverage that includes OLED burn-in. Check Dell’s official AW2725DF specifications and warranty details for the applicable terms.
How to decide between them
- Pick the AW3426DW if a 34-inch ultrawide and 3440 × 1440 layout matter more to you than the highest listed refresh rate.
- Pick the AW2725DF if you prefer standard 16:9 QHD and want up to 360 Hz through DisplayPort.
- Check your desk and connection. The larger ultrawide has a different physical footprint, and the AW2725DF’s maximum refresh depends on using DisplayPort rather than HDMI.
- Weigh warranty coverage and price. Dell’s stated warranty coverage for the AW2725DF is documented on its product page; the cited deal report does not establish equivalent warranty terms for the AW3426DW.
- Match the refresh rate to your use. A higher maximum refresh rate alone does not guarantee a better experience; the useful choice depends on your preferred format and your system and games.
Are the prices still available?
The figures above come from Tom’s Hardware’s October 6, 2026 report, not a live price check. Availability, stock, and current pricing can change, so verify the retailer listing before placing an order. Treat “record low” as the report’s characterization rather than a separately established price-history result.
