Alan Wake 2 game director Kyle Rowley has reportedly been co-directing an unnamed Remedy game since January 2025, according to an October 2, 2026 report by MP1st, which cites Rowley’s professional profile. Remedy has acknowledged an unnamed “New project” in its investor materials, but no public source cited here connects that portfolio entry to Rowley’s reported role. The game has not been identified as Alan Wake 3.

MP1st reported that Rowley has held a co-director role on an unannounced Remedy game since January 2025. That date and role come from the outlet’s account of Rowley’s professional profile, not from an official announcement naming a game. Has Remedy announced Alan Wake 3?

Remedy’s official investor portfolio lists Alan Wake 2 as a 2023 release, owned by Remedy and published by Epic Games Publishing. It also lists a separate “New project” entry, but leaves its franchise, release year, business model, and IP fields unspecified. The portfolio does not say that this entry is Rowley’s reported project.
What Remedy has said about its unnamed project
In its FY2025 strategic-development slides, Remedy said: “New project advanced to POC stage.” POC means proof of concept. The FY2025 presentation does not name a game or connect that milestone to Rowley. It should therefore be read as a separate piece of evidence about an unnamed project, not confirmation of what he is co-directing.

What was Rowley’s role on Alan Wake 2?
Remedy creative director Sam Lake described Rowley’s role in an interview published April 29, 2025: “Kyle Rowley was the game director, so we were co-directing this whole thing.” Lake separately identified Anssi Määttä as the live-action director and said they co-directed the live-action parts. The distinction matters: Lake’s comments describe Rowley’s game-direction work on Alan Wake 2, not the identity or responsibilities of the team behind the unnamed project.
