What “included” means for Airtel Black DTH
When DTH is part of a fixed Airtel Black plan, its service is included in the plan’s listed monthly rental. That does not mean standalone DTH has no cost: the rental covers a bundle, and equipment or other charges may be separate. Airtel also warns that monthly billing for Black plans with DTH can vary because DTH uses a daily burn rate.

These are figures on the terms page retrieved on 7 October 2026, not a guarantee that every plan is currently offered in your area. Airtel says fixed plans are available only in selected towns and may be modified or withdrawn. The ₹399 entry has a footnote reserving Airtel’s right to provide specific benefits, while the ₹599 offering is limited to specified telecom circles.

A fixed plan has a listed monthly rental and combines broadband with DTH or IPTV benefits. Check which services, channel count and broadband speed are attached to the specific plan currently offered at your address; the plan name alone does not establish what your local signup includes.

Custom Airtel Black plans
Eligible customers can combine at least two active connections from different Airtel service categories, including DTH. Airtel’s terms set a minimum DTH rental of ₹260, excluding taxes. They describe a ₹100 discount for bundling two or more categories, but the offer is limited-time and the terms tie it to new connections starting 1 April 2024. Verify whether it still applies before signing up.
The terms list exceptions to that ₹100 discount: the ₹399 fixed entertainment plan, postpaid add-ons, some lower-rental COIP postpaid lines and DTH secondary connections do not qualify. So a custom bundle is not automatically cheaper by ₹100, and the minimum DTH rental is not necessarily the total bill.
Does Airtel Black make the DTH box free?
Not as a universal benefit. Airtel says hardware and installation charges apply for each DTH box unless a qualifying offer covers them. Its terms describe an advance-pay arrangement in which a customer paying a specified ₹2,500 advance may receive hardware and installation or activation at no extra cost for up to one Airtel DTH connection and one Xstream Fiber connection within the Black plan.

The terms also describe a separate arrangement for the ₹399 fixed plan and a distinct advance amount for the ₹3,999 plan, so check the offer attached to your exact plan rather than assuming the ₹2,500 condition applies to everyone.
For a secondary DTH connection, Airtel says the charge is ₹500 less than the applicable primary HD or Hybrid box price. Airtel’s DTH service-charge list for Black subscribers also sets out charges for certain set-top-box replacement and relocation cases, while showing free visits for Black subscribers. Those service charges are distinct from the monthly bundle rental.

- Confirm local availability. Ask Airtel which fixed or custom plans are available at your address and in your telecom circle.
- Get the itemized monthly price. Confirm the bundle rental, DTH rental, applicable taxes, channel selection and any discount that applies to your signup.
- Ask about equipment and installation. Check the primary box price, any secondary-box charge, installation or activation costs, and whether an advance-pay offer applies.
- Read the advance terms. If an advance is required, confirm how it is credited, when it becomes non-refundable and which connections it covers.
- Check the first bill and recurring amount. DTH’s daily burn rate can make monthly billing vary, so ask Airtel how the selected DTH service will be billed.
Airtel’s Airtel Digital TV terms are also relevant to DTH service conditions. Because plans, offers and local availability can change, confirm the exact current terms and bill with Airtel before placing an order.
Is there a referral coupon?
Airtel lists a customer referral offer for Airtel Black and DTH, with coupons of up to ₹300 for both the referring customer and the referred person. This is an eligibility-based customer offer, not a general reduction in DTH rental. Check Airtel’s referral offer page and referral program terms for current conditions, and use the official Airtel app flow if eligible.
