How to unlock wings in AION 2
Continue the opening Poeta story chain. Secondary guides place the flight unlock around the chain’s fifth quest, identified as “Ex. 11 Search Preparations…” in Damina Forest, but that exact quest wording is not confirmed by the regional official guide and may vary between builds. Look for the flight HUD icon as you progress. If it has not appeared, continue the story and check your current quest log rather than relying on a quest number from another client.

Movement in flight follows ground movement. Bindings can be changed, so if these keys do not work, check your current PC control settings and use the flight HUD button. The official guide cautions that its information can differ from the live game; these listed defaults should not be treated as universal across regions or later builds.
How to manage the flight meter
Flight and glide use the flight meter, and the Taiwan guide says they share a cooldown. If the meter is depleted, your character falls. The safest routine is to watch the meter and land while you still have enough reserve to finish the descent.

Use speed selectively
For routine travel, prefer normal flight or glide. A secondary guide reports that sprinting drains energy faster, so use acceleration for short stretches when the extra speed is worth the cost rather than holding it continuously. No reliable energy percentages or fixed flight duration are established in the cited material.
Try wing folding as a reported technique
Power Up Gaming describes folding and redeploying the wings to carry momentum between bursts. Treat this as a technique to try in your current client, not as a guaranteed way to travel without spending energy; its exact savings are not established.

What is known about regional flight rules
Do not assume that wing stats, rarity, enhancement, or flight restrictions shown for Taiwan or Korea also apply to the global service. A wing reference verified September 30, 2026 distinguishes regional client data from global announcements and says global flight-time limits, wing stats, rarity tiers, and enhancement details had not been announced there. Check the current in-game descriptions and official notices for your region before planning around a specific limit or wing bonus.
A secondary compilation says NCSOFT streams discussed flight as part of combat and exploration, and reports that Abyss rings refresh available time while wings are open.
